Lester hasn't even thrown 50 IP at AAA. Give the kid time.

EXACTLY.

There's no reason for the rush and to ruin the kid's arm. Let him develop.

i saw an interview with Lester the other day, and he seemed kinda pissed that Alvarez was called up (instead of himself)

Just curious......what do you guys think is the draw for Clemens to come back to Boston? The only one I could think of that he cant do with the Yankees or Astros is passing Cy Young on the Red Sox wins list.

Theres also the sentiment side that his career will come full circle. Also his pitching coach would be Al Nipper, his best friend coming up through the Red Sox system. Still good friends today

Intresting, I didnt know that about Nipper. I'm sure with Roger it will be the most $$$ will win him over. ESP with the Astros struggling now.

the fact that he left on good terms with the fans and management.

Wait, what?

Didn't he say he was going to retire after the '03 WS and then book to Houston when he got $$$ thrown at him.

Matt Clement was removed after giving up six runs in 3 1/3 innings Monday against the Blue Jays.

Clement was pulled not long after being checked on by the trainer. He didn't seem to be at 100 percent tonight after suffering a bruised right ankle when he was drilled by a comebacker in his previous start. If the Red Sox had alternatives, they'd probably consider placing him on the DL for a couple of weeks. May. 29 - 8:32 pm et

please go on the DL

yeah, but we dont hate him for it. Clemens left on bad terms from Boston....

Clemens left Boston on bad terms from a previous management.

I know of many Yankee fans who hate him for it.

Fact is, he left when more $$$ got thrown in his face.

The Red Sox have a completely different FO. The fact that he on bad terms with the old Red Sox FO means nothing.

Basically, what you're saying is that Clemens would go back to New York, because he likes the fans?

On that logic, why wouldn't he sign with the Astros? Or, the Red Sox? If he comes back to Boston, Bostonians will rename the city after Roger Clemens.

So far, the Yankees have shown no flexablity to give Clemens the days off, when he does not start. The Red Sox have gone to the lengths of offering Clemens, John Henry's private plane.

Also, he has nothing left to accomplish in New York. He's already won a Cy Young, and a World Series.

Oh please dont have NESN, ESPN etc. basing his bad start to the season because of his bad ankle. Because he's pitched as bad before the Yankees game

Just like the excuse for him getting lined off the head last year, even though he already had 3 rough outings before Tampa Bay.

You are a moron. Clemens bent you guys over and drilled you "hip-to-tip". He flat -out lied and said he was retiring then went home to be with his buddy AP.. He is ALLDONE with NY..NO reason in hell to go back there. A million reasons to go back to Boston.. I cannot wait to see you eat those words Thursday.

There is NO WAY he signs with NY. He will be signing with us and Yankee fans can cry all they want.. I will be laughing my ass off when Yankee fans get to see what it feels like. He was always a Sox anyhow....he used NY to get him a Title. He has tons of friends in Boston, not the least of which is Al Nipper, Sox pitching coach. He will go into the Hall a Sox..and he will end his career a World Champion..as a member of the 2006 Red Sox.

While thats a plus its also a negative when you think about it. The Roger probably has more ties with the Yankees then the Red Sox.

yep doesnt have any ties with Boston

Nipper, Schilling (Rog mentored him), Bill Hasselman, Wakefield. He also gets to see his old Sox teammates: Jerry Remy, Jim Rice, Dennis Eckersley. Luis Tiant and Dwight Evans also make frequent visits

Let alone the biggest tie is that Boston is kind of where he pitched for the first 13 years of his HOF career
