Cheap shot by Barrett. If you want to square off with a guy fine, but this was a cheap shot. And if you are going to sucker punch someone if you've got anything you should knock the man off his feet. AJ took that weasel's best shot and shook it off like nothing. So AJ is a ball-breaker. When I was a kid they all broke balls on the opposition. Bench jockying was part of the game. Major leaguers are wimps and prima donnas today.. AJ is a winner, and no one can take that away from him. He plays the game hard and he play to win and take no prisoners. More players should have his attitude. Personally, I am sick of watching opponents hug each other on the field before games.

 

For those Red Sox fans who say AJ was in the right. Doesn't this remind you of the Arod-Varitek incident? Catcher threw first punch, etc...

There was no need for Varitek to get involved with A-Rod. He didn't make a move towards Arroyo. Varitek could have kept quiet, and let the other guys.. you know the ones involved.. settle it. But whatever, I really don't care about that.

I don't care about the circumstances behind the incidents. The fact is that SOME FANS said AJ was a man cuz Barret sucker punched him. Arod got sucker punched by Varitek and was called a pussy.
