Epic pitching matchup with two of the best in the game on the hill today at Shea. It will probably be on FOX as their first nationally televised Saturday game (depending on your viewing area). Go Petey!

EDIT: Whoops. First pitch is scheduled for 1:20 pm.

Mussina's command isn't what it has been for the most part to begin the season. He's falling behind hitters early.

Wright hits another ball over Damon's head. 2-0, Mets.

Wow, that infield is horrendous. 20 errors in their last 13 games.

Its quite pitiful, coming in today they have had 28 errors in their first 40 games. The left side duo of Arod/Jeter have combined for 11 errors, compare that to Lowell/Gonzo at just 4.

2 errors in todays game has it now even more horrendous 30 errors in 41 games, they love racking up these mult-error games . Mark Arod/Jeter duo up now at a combined 12 errors. Arod is 2 away from his 2005 season mark of 10

I think right now, their outfield is worse. Miguel Cairo has no idea how to play LF, and Damon has no range left to play CF, let alone he has a s***** arm. Melky's a below average OF also.

Jeter did Pedro a favor by chasing on 3-1. 5 Ks through 3 for Petey.

EDIT: He's still the most fun pitcher to watch in baseball.

Calling time as Pedro starts his windup, Cano? Better hope your ear pads are on tight.

E-rod f***s up again, gets a hit when we dont need it and whiffs when we need a hit. The he airmails a throw that sets up 2 unearned runs. f***ing useless...

Delgado is so strong....that was an incredible home run...looked like he missed it at first.

Can Mastui get a wrist transplant and get on the field sooner? Can sheff suck it up? f***ing team makes me ill right now. Its like watching the colombus clippers with worse pitching...

I had a feeling it would eventually be a problem for the Yanks. A team with that many older players needed a deeper bench. They should have considered that over carrying pitchers like Tanyon Sturtze, Scott Erickson, Aaron Small...etc. Considering Torre really only focuses on three relievers anyways.

More quality players on the bench would have made more sense.

I originally thought that our rotation would take up the cross and pick it up while our hitting was on the fritz. Unfortunately, it looks like our pitchers liked the comfort....

well, this is your chance RSN. Looks like we'll have sheff out for at least 2 more weeks. Posada will be back tomorrow probably, who knows how long it takes rj to get back to form, etc, etc, etc. This wont be the situation for the entire yr, most likely. This is your chance to break away...
