TheKilo Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2006 Posted May 16, 2006 Chacon getting lit up...6-0 Rangers in the top of the second.
Cocos Disciples Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2006 Posted May 16, 2006 nvm, top 2nd, and now its 6-0.
jsinger121 Verified Member Posted May 16, 2006 Posted May 16, 2006 Chacon's performance last year was a fluke
CrespoBlows Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2006 Posted May 16, 2006 His 1.50 WHIP wasn't going to allow him to keep his ERA that low all year.
ORS Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2006 Posted May 16, 2006 Looks like Shawn "the Escape Artist" Chacon forgot to tuck that skeleton key into the secret pocket in his uniform tonight. He's getting torched.
Cocos Disciples Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2006 Posted May 16, 2006 wow the yankees lineup is quite sad without matsui, sheffield and giambi (sitting tonight).
SCM33 Verified Member Posted May 16, 2006 Posted May 16, 2006 Its hard to watch how miserable Balitmores starting pitching is... just kidding.....boy are the awful though
SCM33 Verified Member Posted May 16, 2006 Posted May 16, 2006 Loretta continuing to warm up...nice shot up the middle
ORS Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2006 Posted May 16, 2006 It was just a matter of time, since he's been in the top-5 in the AL in LD% all year (he's #3 right now). They just needed to start finding holes. Loretta continuing to warm up...nice shot up the middle
SCM33 Verified Member Posted May 16, 2006 Posted May 16, 2006 I crack up every time I see Papi motor down the line...
ORS Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2006 Posted May 16, 2006 Aaron "the Human Caricature" Small comes in to give up the 3-run homer to Blalock, 9-0 Rangers..... I wonder what the mood over at nyyfans.com is like right now?

I wonder what the mood over at nyyfans.com is like right now? What a great nickname hahaha, thats too good. The Yankees are in trouble. Their offense cant keep up with that horrendous staff.
Beckett95 Verified Member Posted May 16, 2006 Posted May 16, 2006 who started tonight for the yankees?
SCM33 Verified Member Posted May 16, 2006 Posted May 16, 2006 The Yankees have murderors row (the lineup)...but they also have the murdered row (pitching staff).
Beckett95 Verified Member Posted May 16, 2006 Posted May 16, 2006 ya just looked at the box score. So much for chacon's 3.68 era.
jsinger121 Verified Member Posted May 16, 2006 Posted May 16, 2006 Here is Chacon's pathetic line tonight 1.1 6H 8R 7ER 2BB 0K's ERA is now 5.21
MANNYHOF24 Verified Member Posted May 17, 2006 Posted May 17, 2006 Giambi didnt play today as well -day to day
ORS Old-Timey Member Posted May 17, 2006 Posted May 17, 2006 The Yankees have murderors row (the lineup)...but they also have the murdered row (pitching staff). Tonight's lineup.... Damon Jeter A-Rod Posada Cano Williams Phillips Cairo Cabrera That group ain't murdering jack-s***. Giambi will be back tomorrow (likely), and Sheff may be back by next week. They'll be more impressive then, but now is the time for the Sox to get a little gap in the standings.
SCM33 Verified Member Posted May 17, 2006 Posted May 17, 2006 Yankees SP this season: Randy Johnson...clearly not Randy this season, and he has been consistently bad. Shawn Chacon...got shelled badly tonight Mike Mussina...solid horse as usual Carl Pavano...not even sure if he will ever pitch again Aaron Small...fluke Wang...solid Jaret Wright...terrible
MANNYHOF24 Verified Member Posted May 17, 2006 Posted May 17, 2006 This is sort of like Schills first start at Camden Yards, Struggled through 3 , even though it was shut out ball, if i remember correctly he was domininte during innings 4-7, lets hope that happens tonight

Looks like they finally got Andy Philips bat in the lineup, at NYYFANS.com they have been bitching about his PT. Cant understand their love for miguel cairo though...I woulda kept Bellhorn over him.
Cityofchampions33 Verified Member Posted May 17, 2006 Posted May 17, 2006 Remy just did this thing with Orsillo to figure out who was giving signs bewteen loretta and Gonzalez if the runner goes or something like that, and it got me worried because its almost a give-away to the pitch because Loretta will take it if its fastball, and gonzalez if its offspeed, if teams figure that out its a big tell tell.
