Hey guess what. When you blow a 9-0 a lead, your pitching is not very good.

That is what the Rangers are best known for, great offense/meatball pitching. I went to a Sox/Rangers game last August. The game where we booed Kenny Rogers every chance we got by the way ;). Heading into the bottom of the 8th inning the Sox held a slim 7-5 lead, make way for the Rangers bullpen... Sox batted around for a 9-run 8th inning to make it 16-5.

I remember that, I was watching the game on ESPN. And then in the bottom of the ninth the Rangers got a leadoff single, and sarcastically Berman was like, "here come the Rangers".

Tonight was one of the most intense games I have seen in awhile. Schilling just can't seem to keep away from giving up the long ball but the bats just keep on bailing him outta trouble. Dissapointing to see Varitek go 0-4 tonight after he reached base in every at bat last night and had a HR. Papelbon continues to show that he is by far the most underated pitching in the league. He's been lights out all year and isn't getting the credit he really deserves.

As for the Rangers/Yankees game that was just awful how do u blow a 9-0 lead and then a 10-2 lead and loose 14-12. Texas needs to trade the entire pitching staff they were just horrible tonight. Haven't seen a worse preformance in awhile.

well the yankee pitching staff was giving the rangers a run for their money. Joe has to learn that Scott Proctor cannot throw 5 games a week and still be usable. He'll extend Proctor, but he is scared to death to extend Farnsworth, who is bigger, stronger, and used to the workload. I dont get it....

Last time the Yanks came back from 9 runs down it was against the Red Sox.

The Yankees overcame a nine-run deficit for the fourth time in their storied history. The last time they did it was a 12-11 win in 10 innings against the rival Red Sox on June 26, 1987. Boston's starter in that one was Roger Clemens.

That has absolutely nothing to do with anything I said.

Otsuka is a quality pitcher who got beaten by a quality hitter. Stop refusing to give the yankees any credit by saying how bad rangers pitching is.

The yanks scored 14runs----please stop talking about quality pitching!

The last time the yanks put up big numbers on the sox was in game 3 of the 04ALCS--that was followed by 4 losses as the sox went on to win the WS!:D

See, we can both get nostalgic about great times for our teams that have nothing to do with this thread!!
