Well, it is possible that this game will get in. The forecast says that there will be rain from about 4-7 in Baltimore, then thunderstorms from 10 and on into the night. Clear up just for a baseball game? I hope so. Anyway, the so-called "Red Sox Killer" is on the mound today, but hasn't been killing much of anything this year. Get to him boys...GO SOX!

Red Sox hungry for more wins against Orioles

Boston (21-14) at Baltimore (18-20) 7:05 pm EDT

BALTIMORE (Ticker) - The Boston Red Sox are thankful they get to play the Baltimore Orioles 19 times a year.

The Red Sox seek their 12th straight win against the Orioles on Monday when the American League East rivals open a three-game set at Camden Yards.

Boston has won the season series with Baltimore in six of the last seven campaigns and is off to a good start again this season, having won the first six matchups. The Orioles have scored only 11 runs in the last five meetings and have not beaten the Red Sox since September 2, 2005.

However, Baltimore comes into the contest with some momentum following a three-game sweep of Kansas City. The Orioles rallied for four runs in the ninth inning Sunday, capped by former Red Sox Kevin Millar's game-winning single that gave the team an 8-7 victory.

It was the first sweep of the season for Baltimore, which will try and keep it going behind Rodrigo Lopez (1-5, 7.03 ERA), who has posted an 0-2 mark with a 6.35 ERA in two starts against the Red Sox this season.

Lopez has dropped four straight starts overall, working no more than six innings and surrendering at least four runs in each outing.

Boston will go with Josh Beckett (4-1, 4.70), who will be making his first career appearance against Baltimore. The righthander yielded three runs in seven innings Tuesday in a 14-3 victory against the New York Yankees.

Beckett, who had surrendered 18 runs over his previous three outings, also struck out a season-high seven and did not walk a batter for the first time this year.

The Red Sox had their last two games against the Texas Rangers rained out and have not played since a 6-0 loss on Friday.

Yeszir wanted this to be our next dead bird mojo for when we played the Orioles. One Red Seat can add some more in too.

Just be in the lead after 5 innings, that's what it might take tonight. I live about 3 hours south of baltimore and the weather around here is off and on. Sun for an hour, then rain for an hour, then sun, then cloudy--just weird! Let's get this game in!

few.... I really want to get this in. It's one of the only games I can watch in my home, instead of going to the local watering hole to view NESN, which I unfortunately do not get.

Go Sox tonight! Maybe we can pull a Randy Johnson and kill some birds.

wtf...lopez is hitting 8th?

Yes, Javy Lopez. You know, the guy that also plays 1B and is also pretty much known for swinging a solid bat? Used to play for the Atlanta Braves...?

Don't tell me you thought they meant Rodrigo.
