actually a yankee-sox game means 2 games in the standings instead of one. Think about it. Let's say that the Yankees win today, then if the sox win against Balt, then they neutralize that win and there is no groudn gained or lost, and if they lose, they fall one game behind. Now, in a yankee red sox game, if the red sox win, they go one game up, if the yankees win, the sox fall one game behind. There is no status quo option and the best to worst case scenario is 2 games apart instead of one in the other scenario...

Whatever, its just another game. We play the Yankees a lot this season and it will most likely come out close to .500 like always. I obviously want to win against the Yankees but I want to see what these young kids can do. I would think Francona would want to see more of Delcarmen who could really show something and make his job tough when Riske comes back.

As last year proved, the head-to-head record can have additional meaning.

Agreed... but if one of you guys tries to say a game in May doesnt mean as much as one in September...

Ill commit a series of unsolvable crimes.

I won't say that....I would hope the team is sorted out and rocking by September....I still feel in May the team can get an idea about players and try to find an identity.

On that note it was great to see the bats come out AGAIN. Much less questions about how our team will hit the ball this season.

Did you just crawl out from under a rock?

Tito does NOT look for the young player to take innings , roster spots, etc. from an established vet.

Christ, if Millars contract was for another year here he would be playing 1st today..

To say Tito wants to " look " at some young guy is off the charts retarded... He wants to win. Today.

EDIT: I should say also that you are absolutely correct. I am a self professed Tito basher. The point of my post was more anti- Tito than at you Schill... mmkay?

Then he should consider looking at other players....Rudy Seanez has looked pretty terrible this season and David Riske looked bad in spring training and his 1 inning pitched this season...now he is injured....still a fair amount of questions surrounding the bullpen...did you notice any of it??

Or did you just crawl out from under a rock??

While I agree that Tito is a vets-first manager, I don't think it has much to do with winning ball games. If that were the case, Youks would have had KFK's job by mid-June last year. From what I've seen, a rook has to be transcendently good to snag a job from a vet on Francona's team, like Papelbon has been.

Do you have some sort of mental disability that stops you from a logical train of thought ?

None of what you've posted makes any sense at all.

Everybody and his brother knows what Pabblebon has, they knew it last year.

They also knew that Foulke was a Shot in the Dark..

Youd have to be The Rivernater not to put him in the pen..

I meant no harm by my post , Tito just really is grating on me,... and I swear it will be the last time I ever jump on another poster, in jest.

Easy win today.....Good prediction Riv as your O's win was way off. Nice job by Dinardo and now the Sox are setup pitching wise for the trip to the Bronx.

A few years ago the Orioles were giving the Sox problems....Not anymore.....Baltimore is such a sad organization now.....If a team has to employ players like Millar then you know you are in trouble.

The Red Sox are a speed bump to the Orioles, as the Blue Jays have been for us

...what? I don't think this really makes sense.

Screw Millar. What about Fahey, Markakis and Gomez? Just to name a few.

Markakis is a legitimate prospect but fahey, gomez, millar are stiffs. The O's should Markakis in triple A where he belongs.

Okay, I'll try nicely again. What posts do I qualify as a "blow hard", please I'd like to know ?

Sorry about your "private conversation" with Schill. But if it was a " private " conversation, it should have been in PM, or I'M, not in a public forum. I have not called for your banning, although maybe I should. For some reason you have an opinion of yourself that you are some sort of special poster. You have been nothing but arrogant and confrontational since you've been here, and contributed very little.

You a hole. you are the reason that I have to drop IM. I hope you get banned.

Try that again big guy?

You want to say you werent calling for my banning..

Like I said.. Youre the dick.. Ive had no problem with anyone else on this board...

Kiss me gently, but no tongue ok , sunshine?

kiecker get lost and don't trash SFOC like that when he is the most generous person on this board and is more established than you and actually contributes things unlike you.

All I have to say is VVVVVVVVVVVVVV TEK. What a Grand Salami. Awesome game and Dinardo didn't have to really do much today the bats were ALIVE. Great win now bring on the Yankees.
