No precipitation right now, but look at that heavy band heading right into Boston. Theres definately going to be a rain delay.

It doesn't look terrible outside my house. Some ominous clouds (I live in Newton, 10 minutes from the park) but it doesn't look any worse here than it did last night. I think they might be able to squeeze it in or play through whatever rain comes.

Click on the radar link. Theres a heavy rain band headed for Boston. The minute the first pitch got underway it would be pouring.

According to the YES Network, they will be reevaluating the situation at around 7:30.

This early in the season, they should cancel the game. Both of our pitchers have extensive injury histories and nights in may are not when you should be testing mother nature. The field is soaked, it is supposed to rain into thursday, call it and move it to later in the yr. Dont get me wrong, I want to see a game, but not at the expense of losing our #4 for an extended period of time....

It's not raining here yet. If they wait until 7:30 the game definitely won't be played or only 1 or 2 innings will be. They should just start on time...they could get an official game in..

YES just showed a live picture from Fenway and it's already raining there. With darkened clouds looming off in the distance which is going to bring the downpour.

Well I was just looking at the radar, and two bands of moderate rain are heading in the direction of Boston, but after that theres no significant precipitation forming, so that maybe their window of opportunity. However, who knows how soaked the outfield will be after those two bands move through.

Just a heads up guys. Now and the the next few days would be a good time to grab some tickets. If you know or can find a broker that is still open, you can bargain the price of tonight's ticket. You're gambling if the game is played ( as is the broker if he's stuck with a ticket ). In other options ( auctions ) a person may not be able to attend the rescheduled date.
