Its about time. MLB should have requested the ball right after the WS to put it in the hall. Never should have taken this long

On the mourning's news, it what stated that the Red Sox reached "an agreement" with Doug M. sometime last week or two. I'd read that as, Doug got paid.

So the Sox shelled out the cash and the ball still isn't going to be kept at Fenway, well that sounds like complete crap.

Not entirely true. The ball will reside at the Hall, however the Sox have the right to bring it back as needed for promotions.
