Nixon is such a f***in albatross We had to trade a SP just to back his sorry injury riddled dirty hat wearin f***in ass up

We have 3 SP's that are decent as long as Wake keeps the Unearned runs off the board.

Argh1!!

An albatross. Hmm that's a new one.

The sox are .244 (14th in MLB) w/2outs and RISP, 3 point behind the yankees at .247

The sox are batting .239 w/RISP, 26th in the majors, the yankees are 7th at .299

The big stat

Close and Late scenarios is, I believe, 7th inning or later with the score difference being 3 runs or less.

The Yankees are 6th in the MLB at .290. The Sox are 29th at .202. Only the Marlins, at .148 are worse...

What is the sox total OBP? We haven't had any hot hitters yet, and the fact that we are putting so many on base seems to bode well. Nice April statistics though.

With an offday tomorrow Tito needs to play this one smart and use foulke in the 7th with Papelbon pitching the 8th and the 9th depending on how big the lead is.

The Yankees are 1st in the MLB at .388 (and it aint even close)

Don't Yankee fans say things like "It's April, there's still a lot of season to be played" but then throw out these stats like they all of a sudden mean something?

yes, I know, but ksushi wanted to know about the OBP and there was a quote earlier about how the sox were the worst with RISP, and that is not the case....

Boston in 19th in the MLB in OPS at .758.

NYY is 2nd in the majors in OPS at .878 (Toronto leads at .889)

only thing that matters is the teams record

Alot of that OBP is from batting average, which to this point the sox don't have much of. That will come.

The sox are 24th in hitting at .256

The Yankees are 3rd at .298....

a big part of this is that our CF's arenn't hitting well. Stern was hitting under .150, mohrs hitting under .200 and willie harris cant hit for s***. Once Crisp is back that BA should go up
