the answer is E. It makes a point that unfortunately, sometimes average to below average pitchers can just completely own good teams and there is no explanation. Lilly owns the sox...

Geez, why do we look clueless! Everytime we face lilly or that young punk from TB (can't remember his name, think it begins with a K) we look stupid! Different line-up, same result! :wtf:

15 outs.

Maybe we can make a game out of this.

Nah, Replacement Level Lilly is too busy throwing every good pitch he won't throw against the Yankees. I swear, this mutt seems to throw a gem against us every time, and he can't find the plate against the Yankees.

Toronto seems to be entirely too comfortable against our pitchers. Tavarez should dust someone.

What? Giving up so soon? This team can put up a 5 spot just like that!

Oh wait, no they can't. :(

That seems to be very true this year. Last year, they were never out of it, but the offense is a little stagnant this year. And, that's with only one real hole in the lineup (Gonzo). But with Manny not being Manny, the struggles with runners on, they are going to be in trouble whenever the SP doesn't hold serve.

The fact is, the red sox lost a whole lot but gained a whole lot. Their rotation now has that top 2 big pitchers again, well at least through 2 weeks. But, their lineup lacks the continuity that they had in the past. Mueller was a top 5 hitter w/RISP. Millar at least walked a whole bunch, but youk is a better replacement. Graf was solid, and ERent was better offensivly than Gonzo. The thing is, the sox now have better defense and better pitching so they wont give up many runs, BUT they did that at the expense of their offense. And if they get behind, it is a whole lot harder to come back....
