Who would you have proposed that we would have given up though. I don't think we could have satisfied their needs more than the White Sox did with Rowand.

 

I would have given 3-4 B level guys for Thome if the Philies were gonna eat that much salary. I easily would have parted with players like Stern, Moss, Murphy, Alvarez, and others and maybe the red sox would have took more on the contract than the White Sox were willing to do. Rowand fits a need for the Phillies but hes not a star in any sense.

I remember that game. It was the part of the biggest choke in history.

No he's not, we can't have tek catching that many games---plus we need to give him a day off! if he caught wake it would beat him up even more and we need to get him his rest and keep him fresh for the end of the season!

 

Bard changed his style of catching wake for tonight which was weird (mabey he was nervous, who knows) but he is playing much closer to the plate and stabbing at it instead of letting the ball come to you as belli did!

Let's give bard more than a couple innings before we waive him. He has looked better as the game has gone on--it's only the 4th inning!

Ha, you will notice that I will be on for the most part, win or lose, rain or shine. I take my lumps when need be and will be here to gloat when the time comes. I was posting on the herald the morning after the choke heard round the world. I am not a fair weather poster. I can give it, but I will take it if need be.....

This sucks. We get MLB extra innings at my dad's, but I only get it half the time because my parents are divorced. <_ now i have to get the stupid delayed play-by-play on yahoo.>

Have one of your folks get you mlb.tv. It rules. Plus, the new Gameday on MLB.com is pretty good for free.

I was using gameday before but I had to keep manually refreshing it. Is mlb.tv where you can watch games on the computer? I think my computer is too slow for that...:lol:
