montreal , thats the only canadian team i really like ,but of corse id like to see edmonton win it but now that roloson is out they dont stand a chance

I don't like the Habs. Then again, I'll be rooting for them to win at least one championship this decade. They're the only franchise in sports to have won at least one championship in every decade from the 30's through the 90's.

canes blow out edmonton in game 2 5-0 , so they take the 2-0 series lead , id say its over cause it dosent look like edmonton can find a goaler that can stop shots

Brind-Amour and Staal can't be stop. They have been good the whole playoffs and I don't expect them to stop now. Cane's will win the series 4-1.

Though the rumors are accurate, that work is concepts created by somebody completely unrelated to the team or whatever. He posts at a forum that I frequent. But I'm hoping they do go back to the blue and gold.

What is known:

- New unis will be shades of blue (probably navy-ish) and gold (probably metallic).

- New unis will be out before next season. An unveiling is tentatively scheduled for August.

- The jerseys worn next year have nothing to do with the future change of every team to form fitting jerseys. There will be blue and gold on the ice in '06-'07.

- The Celsius website ( http://www.celsiusdesign.net/sabres,aka the link that never dies) has been around for years, and those designs WILL NOT BE USED (as far as I know)

Rumors:

- Vintage jerseys (early 90's style) will be worn for up to 10 home games next season.

I kept saying the winner of the buf/car series would win the cup, and it liiks that way

Well, I wouldn't have said that before Roloson got hurt. If he's still playing, Edmonton could possibly be up 2-0. I guess this is how it goes though.

i agree , if roloson would be playing it would be a tie series or if not leading 2-0

I don't think so...not the way the Oilers are having trouble scoring since getting ahead early in game 1.

Personally I hate the Canes. They are the former Whalers and as a CT fan of the bruins I used to love watching the B's beat them in the Mall. Christ it was like a B's home game most times.

Everything about that team...from the stupid mall they played in to the cheapness of Ulf Samuelsson back in the day to Adam Burt and Kevin Dineen to the lamest theme song (Brass Bonanza) ever...I despise them and hope that they fall apart in Alberta.

1-1 at worse for the oilers ,game 1 was in their hand and then they lost roloson and that was it , game 2 probobly would have lost but you have to admit without roloson in net has impacted to whole team and you could tell in game 2 they werent playing as they have been with him in net

They actually didn't have game 1 in hand when Roloson got injured. He'd given up 4 of the 5 Carolina goals in that game, meaning that the game was tied when he had to leave it.

So the Stanley Cup will go from Florida to Carolina? Hockey traditionalists must be going nuts with all of the success that these non-traditional markets are having.

Ha...remember when the Southeast Division and Eastern Conference was soooo bad.

I thought they were all about NASCAR down there, and now back-to-back Stanley Cup Champs.

Git-R-Done.

New Jersey is from the Eastern Conference, and they won it four years ago. Nine of the last fifteen Stanley Cups belong in the Eastern Conference.

The Southeast Division sucked for a long time because it was loaded with expansion teams.

We get a pass, no?

You can count Detroit's three Stanley Cups, too, since they really belong in the Eastern Conference. Wow. Chicago, Dallas and Colorado are the only American teams outside of the Eastern time zone to have won the Cup in history.

He's a moron, anyway. (Just in case this was taken wrong, I was refering to Larry the Cable Guy)

Git-R-done? Larry the Cable Guy isn't funny, and he isn't from the Southeast. Of course, people who sterotype are often this dumb.

Yay! Go Whalers... err... Hurricanes! I love it when these non-traditional markets beat Canadian teams! I hope the Cup never leaves the Bible Belt (unless it's to make a stay in Colorado)!

It's been three years in a row now that a team that beat Detroit in a playoff series loses in the SCF.

To quote GKL:

"Maybe a new Curse???"
