Umm, Ovechkin had 52 goals on a team with NOBODY around him and was third in the NHL in points. Crosby should be third or fourth at best. Dion Phaneuf, Cristobal Huet and Henrik Lundqvist all deserve serious consideration.

 

 

Huet is not a rookie. This is his third season and he is 30 years old.

Nah, them being bad had nothing to do with it. I watch the Celtics, so I have no problem cheering for bad teams. Hockey was just unentertaining to me, and I really liked watching Samsonov, Murray, and Joe play. Once they got dismantled, I really didnt care for them any more. But I will say that Bergeron and Toivonen are a good time to watch, other than them, and maybe Boyes and Sturm, no one really entertains me that much.

As bad as the decision of the NHL to be on OLN, ESPN never really respected the NHL. As for NBC vs. ABC, NBC has a much better coverage. Now NBC only needs Gary Thorne. Good riddance ABC.
