Twins Trade Brewing?

Some message boards are abuzz with the possibility of a significant Twins trade on the horizon. I've tried to dig up something concrete for you, but I've come up empty so far.

 

I do know that Terry Ryan has hinted recently that a deal is possible but wouldn't elaborate. Speculation is that the Twins would try to shore up the left side of their infield, possibly by dealing from their starting pitching surplus. Julio Lugo, Mike Lowell, Hank Blalock, and Melvin Mora could all be targets. If the Twins want one of the bigger dogs out there they'll probably have to part with Scott Baker or Glen Perkins.

 

I don't give this website much credit because they called a bunch of offseason trades that never happened BUT I thought I'd toss it out there.

 

If Terry Ryan called me and expressed interest in Mike Lowell I'd listen.

They also did predict several things that were right.

 

They have good sources over at that site. When I first started looking there I gave them absolutely no credit for anything, but over time I think they're pretty credible.

 

Interesting to see what the Twins do, if anything.

Hey if they offer Lowell for Baker, that would be a great trade. It would also give added insurance in the pitching staff.

Yes Terry Ryan is a moron, he deemed Ortiz already reaching his peak and that $2 million was too much to pay for him. Also his team's offense this season will be just as bad as last season. Ryan did nothing in the regard in the offseason.

who would be our 3rd baseman? youklis? and i thought the point of getting rid of a pitcher(Arroyo) was so that there were less pitchers on the ML team.
