World Baseball Classic Trophy

They've released the World Baseball Classic trophy that will be awarded to the winner of the tournament. I think that it's a pretty nice trophy. Looks really cool alot better then what was offered for the World Cup of hockey that's for sure.

Eh, atleast the trophy for this crappy tournament ain't bad. I wouldn't expect anything less than a great looking trophy from Tiffany & Co. They always do a fantastic job. I particularly like their trophy for the Nextel Cup Series.

Just like the WBC... I gotta say, I saw the first commercial for it the other day and it did get me pumped. Only 10 more days till we see some surprisingly competitive baseball. How can you not like that?

 

But if any Sox player gets hurt, I'll be pissed. If any Sox player over extends himself and is toast by September, I'll be pissed. If Jeter or Arod blows out their ACL, it will all be worth it.

Seeing how tall it was and who made it was the only reason I did read the article. I thought it looked small in the picture, too.

 

I wonder who gets to keep the trophy for the winning country.

That would be kinda neat if you could etch the names of the winners on it like the Stanley Cup. I don't know if it would really work with that trophy's design though.

Yeah that's what I want to happen too, but I don't think people and players will take it as serious because it's right after the World Series and I just thing that the general feeling is that it is more of an exhibition rather than a serious tournament.

Restructure the regular season and I think it has a chance. Now are they doing it every year or every four years?

Go Japan! Haha the USA team cheated and they still couldnt beat the mexican team. This tells us that the world has caught up and maybe passed the USA baseball team.
