If we could manage to get some prospects or a good proven lefty reliever for Tony G that would be great we dont need anyone else OR package Wells and Tony for something

I know everyone makes errors, but Tony G. did flub up that play in the White Sox series, that probably lost one of those games for them. (I'm sure the White Sox would have still won the series, though, so probably not a big deal.)

Manny Ramirez arrived at Red Sox camp in Fort Myers at 9:01 a.m. this morning, wearing a No. 81 Tim Brown Oakland Raiders jersey and accompanied by his representatives, including agents Gene Mato and Greg Genske.

He hugged utilityman Willie Harris and old friend Enrique Wilson before retreating into the clubhouse.

The Red Sox announced last week that Ramirez would report today, but until he actually arrived no one knew for sure when he’d show up.

Nice to see he showed up ... like you said we knew he was supposed to be there today but I don't think any of us were completely sure.

"My main focus is baseball right now and trying to help this team win," Ramirez said. "Let me get this straight, I don't want no questions about the trade rumors ... and this and that. You guys want to talk about baseball or whatever, you know I'm open to talk."

One reporter asked him if he was happy to still be playing for the Red Sox, and he responded: "I'm here. I'm here."

Ramirez also confirmed that he was not playing in the World Baseball Classic.

he looks great. He lost some fat and looks lean. The little goatee he has going on is cool. He is ready to rip the baseball. I can't wait to start the season

That series was over before it ever started. IMO without Tony G we don't make the playoffs last year.

didn't he get pissed off too when a reporter asked if he still wanted to be traded?

He said he wouldn't talk about a trade. He said he'll only talk about baseball.

Chicago Cubs scout Ken Kravec was spotted observing yesterday’s workout, which may be an indication that the National League club is still interested in acquiring infielder Tony Graffanino.

What purpose would he serve to the Cubs?

OK, I didnt want to start another thread for this, so I decided to throw it in this thread.

For those of you Red Sox fans in the FSN North market (Minnesota, Wisconsin, etc.) or who have DirecTV, you can watch the Red Sox vs Twins tonight at 7.

Just thought i'd throw that out there, seeing as how NESN isnt airing the game.

the cubs may not be happy starting with todd walker at second base. who knows. the red sox will get rid of graffanino. its just a matter of who they dump him on.

I would love to have Graf, but there is no room for him here, and the Sox and Yanks dont do deals.

I've always liked Tony G and hope he ends up somewhere where he gets to play a lot.
