Other teams, possibly including the Yankees, are watching to see what happens with Sammy Sosa and the Nationals. A Dominican Republic newspaper, reported that Alex Rodriguez visited Sosa in Miami last weekend. It's unclear whether Rodriguez was being social or doing legwork for Yankees GM Brian Cashman, who could use Sosa as part of a DH platoon with switch-hitter Bernie Williams. -- Chicago Tribune

Sosa brought this all on himself, plain & simple. I cant find a reason at all to feel bad for him. One of the main reasons he didnt accept the Nationals offer was because it wasnt enough money. All reports were indicating they were going to have him as the starter, not the bench & give him the chance to salvage the pitiful 2005 he had.

Bonds can break all the records he wants. Last season I was totally against him getting the record, but I don't care anymore. Bonds will always been remembered as the guy who used steroids to get the most HRse ever ... not the guy who hit the most HRs ever. Everyone in the media hates Barry Bonds, everyone in the clubhouse hates Barry Bonds, and just about every fan (unless they're blind) hates Barry Bonds. Bonds is a choke artist, a douche bag, and most importantly ... a CHEATER.

 

I know someone got a little bent out of shape when there was a death wish in this thread, but ... I hope Barry Bonds dies a slow painful death.

Hey, once he is out of baseball, he might as well be dead as far as I am concerned. It's time to say goodbye to America and the World, Sammy before you embarrass yourself. You are just lucky that you never got caught on the steroid rap, and ironically you came out of the Congressional hearings looking better than MGwire, because you had not compunction about lying while MGwire, while looking bad by being evasive, he refused to lie on the record. Unfortunately, you did not get caught like the other liar, Palmiero. Plus, you were smart enough to have your attorney write and read the statement. I also believe that you have been clean for a couple of years which explains your need to start caulking. You got caught red-handed with the caulked bat, but the public has forgiven you. Now you can't caulk and you can't juice, so you are through. Please go away, before you do something stupid to ruin what is left of your reputation.
