One, please stop using #'s to cover up your curses.

Two, Shaun actually had 95 yards on 20 carries, almost 5 yards a carry and had more yards than Parker.

His run was great, but without that long run, the Steelers still win and Parker's game is crap. He did have a great game but you can't say Shaun did nothing when he had more yards than Parker.

Nice to see someone relying on something crazy like the facts to support their arguement!

Yea, Willie Parker didn't have a 75 yd. TD run did he? Randle El threw a 43 yd Td right? So don't ask why the seahawks lost. For real man. Steelers wanted this more then the seahawks. And I know that Bettis didn't do to much, but he's like a commander, he led his troops onto the field, and led his troops to a win. His team wanted to win that game for him, they knew it was his last year, so they wanted to win it for him. That's what happened. Overall, Pitt is a better team. Big Ben sucked it up yea, but other players stepped up all game. Calls?? Those calls wouldn't have made a diff in the first place. One Darrell Jackson did push off. It probably wouldn't have been called though, if it wasn't in front of the ref. Don't do that if the ref is right behind you. 2, the Big Ben TD, doesn't matter. He was less then an inch away from the line anyways. If they went for it on 4th down, which probably would have happened, all he had to do was fall forward. Officiating is just used as an excuse. Their are bad calls everywhere. Get used to it. Get over it. Steelers out played Seattle hands down.

oh please did you not noticed seattle had more first downs, more time of possesion, more net yards,,etc,,, and you just mentionned 2 calls that were questionable , what about the other 5 calls that were screwed.I tell you it was a nice seing the refs calling penalties that the the announcers couldnt even figure out what was the call for to begin with, and you people say i dont know what im talking about ,so i suppose madden dosent know what the f*** hes talking about either about those dum penalty?

That weren't really that many bad calls. What were the other huge calls that decided this game other than the Roethlisberger TD?

I got a net nanny on here, i got caught to many times as a kid, doing certain stuff, i guess that explains it. Damn, and you know, ok, nice having first downs, and more time of possession, but did they win the game??? I don't think they did. Hmmmm. Sorry ol' chap. GET OVER IT!

I don't even that changed anything, because it would have been 4th an literally an inch, so all big ben would have done then, was just fall forward.

on the first play of the second quarter. Peter Warrick ripped off a 33-yard punt return to give Seattle the ball at the Steelers 46. But Etric Pruitt was called for holding. How clear was it? Well, Madden thought the call was for Pruitt holding the gunner at the beginning of the play. It wasn't. The flag came in during the runback and it looked pretty minor. Another example of an official searching to make a call.

2.The Seahawks were on the verge of taking a 17-14 lead early in the fourth quarter when officiating disaster struck. Hasselbeck had drilled a pass down the seam to Jerramy Stevens to set up first-and-goal at the one when suddenly Leavy appeared in the middle of the screen to call the play back on account of holding on Sean Locklear. No less a source than newly minted Hall of Famer John Madden came right out and said it was a bad call

3.After a sack, Hasselbeck threw a pick and then was penalized 15 yards for making the tackle. I'm not kidding. The same thing happened in the Indy-Pittsburgh game in the regular season. It's like the officials become so discombobulated during the change of possession that they just randomly start throwing flags. The call was that Hasselbeck had thrown an illegal block below the waist on the return. Never mind that Hasselbeck wasn't trying to block anybody and did, in fact, make the tackle. Just another terrible call that cannot be reviewed in Paul Tagliabue's NFL

4.with the Steelers trying to run out the clock, Leavy granted Roethlisberger a timeout, even though the play clock clearly read zero before the quarterback signaled for time. It ended up being the final bad call in Seattle's coffin.

5.oh and dont forget that apparent pushoff on the first quarter ,f***ing please both players were fighting for posotion

6.Their first three big plays were all wiped out by penalty calls. On their second drive, Darrell Jackson caught an 18-yard pass on 3rd-and-6 that would have given Seattle a first down at the 23. But Chris Gray was called for holding James Farrior. When Farrior pushed upfield, Gray did hook him with his right arm, and Farrior went down. When referee Bill Leavy flagged Gray, it was a bad omen for the Seahawks. Instead of being on the edge of the red zone, they came away without any points

is that enough>?

oh really ,what makes you say that ,they failed the first 3 time to punch it in and they were only 3 yards away for the touchdown

wow dude, ok that push off was right in front of the ref. Like Madden said, the arm extended off of the Steelers def. giving Jackson that much space for the catch.... that's not a penalty? If a defender can't push a Reciever after 5 yds, why is a Reciever allowed? Second off that 15 yd penalty on hassleback, shouldn't have even been there, if he didn't throw the int. So that's his own damn fault. And like that other dude said, i think it was MC, why would the refs help out a team, that they "Supposedly" try to screw over before??? But the steelers still won that game.

excuse me the reason hasselback trew the f***ing INT he was forced on a 3rd and long by of corse the stupid penalty on 2 plays earlier that should have not been call ,seattle should have been on the 2 yard line ,and also how can you get penalize for making a f***ing tackle, does that make sense to you?

with a guy named bettis, parker, ward, miller, and Big Ben, I think it's a gimmee

I guess you don't remember that Colts-Pats game a couple years ago in Indy. Colts had 4 chances to go 1 yard with the "most powerful offense in the league" and they were stopped 4 straight times. I think the Seahawks can stop the Steelers 1 time from the inch line.

yeah ok .Bettis, hmm isnt that the guy who fumble on the one yard line against the colts? , and big ben who had that great game ( 8 for 20 ,120 yards and a pick ) yeah thats a gimmee eh?

3rd and long, does not make a QB throw an int. His accuracy and stupid decisions, makes him throw a INT. That great Ind. off?? Umm how many times has the great Indy's offense beaten that pats since brady? OO yea, ONCE. and ummm I think Big Ben made more BIG plays then hassleback did right?? And Big Ben showed he can run for that TD, or come DAMN close

Perhaps rather than complaining about calls, you should worry about how you let Madden make up your mind for you.

It was a dangerous, dangerous play. Rather than put his shoulder pad into the knee of the guy running with the ball, he dove in a way that the defender would trip on him and he'd take out the knee of the guy running beside him for blocking purposes.

4.with the Steelers trying to run out the clock, Leavy granted Roethlisberger a timeout, even though the play clock clearly read zero before the quarterback signaled for time. It ended up being the final bad call in Seattle's coffin.

Referees will NEVER call a delay of game AS the clock turns to zero. They ALWAYS give small amount of time to snap the ball or call the time out because they have to look at the clock, and then look at the ball. They gave Big Ben no more time than they usually do.

5.oh and dont forget that apparent pushoff on the first quarter ,f***ing please both players were fighting for posotion

Darrell Jackson extended his arm towards the defender. I don't see how you can argue this call. It will be called EVERY SINGLE TIME when you do it right in front of the referee in the NFL.

If it's the play I think it was... he was choking him!

Dude you're 100% right

The officiating was abyssmal, both in the Super Bowl and throughout the whole of the NFL playoffs.

but even though that may be true, Pitt still won their horrible officiated game, the simple fact is Seattle had no big plays to win the game. None. The only guy who had a TD, also had 4 drops, does that seem like a big game?

alittle bit of bill simmons on the super bowl

10:16 -- In the postgame show, after we hear from an emotional Cowher and MVP Hines Ward (hey, somebody had to win), Mike Tirico interviews Jerome Bettis (14 carries, 43 yards), who holds the trophy and stumbles through an endearing speech, finally announcing his retirement by saying, "I played this game to win a championship, I'm a champion, and I think the Bus, the last stop is here in Detroit."

If this were the WWE, the crowd would have cheered, Bettis would have held the trophy over his head, and then the Patriots' music would have started playing, followed by Belichick and Brady emerging to a chorus of boos, taunting Bettis with stuff like, "What's the matter, gettin' out while you can?" and "You're not the real champs until you go through us!" And then there would have been a huge fake brawl, followed by Bettis returning the following week for a tag-team match with Cowher as his partner.

In real life? Bettis walks off into the sunset with the trophy ... a nice lasting image for a crummy game. At least the Steelers covered. Until next season.

2 tds called back on seattle,1 for the ""push off"" which consisted of an extension of the wideouts hand to maintain balance, the other on a phantom hold

1 call put them on the 35 instead of 1st and goal on the 1 ona another phantom hold

someone saw gentle ben cross the goal line and called it a td although 150,000,000 people who watched on tv didnt see it,the one guy in charge of making the call did.

as far as seattle blowing the remainder of the game i agree

the big mouth tight end dropped some huge balls

the wide out insisted on playing the sidelines as if he were the D back

and the star of the f*** ups,mr holmgren....they had the ball on the 30 with 56 seconds to play

kick the field goal mike and your down 8 with 50 to play then you play for the onsides kick instead of throwing 4 hail maries in the endzone

never mind the pathetic clock management that cost them 3 in the 1st half

holmgren is 2 desmond howard kickoff returns away from being bud grant and marv levys bastard off spring
