wow damn, Harris stands out as a better late innings/pinch runner bench player than he is.

He seems to be a career minor leaguer at best. .196 career batting avg in 146 MLB games proves that.

Apologies to other talksox posters. I was thinking there'd be a chance this guy was a hidden gem to be found by Boston. Seeing his stats, thats clearly not the case.

Trent Durrington is a long shot to even make this team. He has practically no shot to make it out of spring training. he just does not have the talent as so of the other players we have and the only way he makes is if the red sox have injuries in spring training.

Trent Durrington couldnt hang on with the Brewers. I doubt he will be making the Red Sox, unless he has a very good spring training and someone projected to be on the opening day roster gets hurt in spring training.

ya the only way hes making the team is if willie harris and tony grafannino both get hurt. I wouldnt mind him in AAA so if we do need a utility guy, we can call him up.

Thats pretty much why he was signed, insurance. Because he is a good insurance policy wit his versatility, but not deserving enough to be on the 25 Man.

Yeah, probably a longshot, but the numbers aren't horrible. If he works his ass off during spring training, he might make the team. But even if he doesn't, he could be an asset in the minors too.

Never heard of him but I wish him the best of luck this spring. And maybe well see him in Pawtuckett come the start of next season.

I spoke to Trent two days ago at the Claxton Shield Australian senior baseball championship which he is competing at for his home state of Queensland.

(Finals tomorrow see http://www.baseball.com.au)

He said he is going to pitchers & catchers training then playing in the WBC and then obviously returning to spring training. I think he has a strong chance of making the roster as a utility and 3rd catcher.

He has been impressive in the Claxton Shield batting .500 playing as a DH, catcher and infielder.

Only time will tell.

trent is a very long shot to make the red sox. he makes it only if the sox have injuries. if the sox are healthy he has little to no chance of making it. i wish him luck but his odds are long.
