I said it last night, I'll say it again now. The Broncos don't beat the Steelers playing like they did last night unless Pittsburg does a complete 180 and makes the same types of mistakes the Pats did last night. That's not saying the Broncos can't win, it's saying they need to play better than they did last night. Same thing holds true for the 'Hawks if the Panthers win. They can get away with some mistakes against the Bears because their offense is worse than the 'Skins.

That's true. That said, after having watched every Broncos game over the course of the season, I've only seen them play that poorly against Miami and Baltimore. Both games obviously being anomalies. It says a lot to not play all that great and to still beat a team like the Patriots.

The Patriots beat themselves. If they didn't have all those damn fumbles and Brady's INT, they would've won.

The Broncos are the best team in the league at capitalizing on turnovers.

It's pretty funny how people say we would have won if we never committed turnovers. Well, maybe we shouldn't have committed all those turnovers. That's like saying if Denver didn't score points, we would have won. Did Denver make as many mistakes as we did, and that means Denver was better than us. Make all the excuses, but when we make more mistakes than Denver, we are not better than them.

as long as indy lost im happy, but second to indy losing, im praying denver doesn't make it to super bowl.

chicago winning wasnt a surprise, but if shaun alexander can go and be effective, no way seattle loses shy of self-destructing. with foster and davis out, smith will literally have to put the team on his back and win it for them.

That was a safety. It was an obscene call.

It wasn't. Manning's back foot wasn't in the endzone or on the goal line when he got tackled. Sure, he got tackled into the endzone, but it's about where he first was when he was tackled.

Here's an article from the AP on ESPN.com

DENVER -- Meet the new favorites to win the Super Bowl: the Denver Broncos.

After putting in an impressive performance to knock out New England, the Broncos sat home Sunday and watched Pittsburgh upset Indianapolis, the previous odds-on favorite to win it all.

Now, the Broncos get a home game next Sunday against the Steelers in the AFC title game, where they've been established as a 4-point pick.

AAnd on Sunday afternoon, Vegas oddsmakers said Denver would be favored in the Super Bowl against either of the NFC teams still in the hunt, Carolina or Seattle.

"The Broncos have been flying under the radar the whole season, with the likes of the Colts out there, but now, they're looking better," said Jay Kornegay, who runs the sports book at the Las Vegas Hilton.

The numbers: Denver is now the 3-to-2 favorite to win the Super Bowl. Seattle and Pittsburgh were both 5-to-2 and Carolina was 6-to-1.

I wouldn't vall their performance impressive, considering they won because of our mistakes. They couldn't even put together a drive of their own.

Your mistakes were forced, except for the Troy Brown fumble. On the fumble forced by Sauerbrun, he got his body on the ball when making the tackle. The interception by Champ Bailey was an extremely nice play by him.

More often than not, if you play mistake free football, and you force mistakes by the other team, and you're playing at home... you will win a LOT more often than you lose. That's football.

Denver was 4th best in the league in scoring against. 4th worst in the league in passing defense. You act like just because you were able to move the ball, pretty much only through the air, I might add, that we got lucky that you didn't score more. No, it's not a coincidence that the game, from a defensive standpoint, went like practically every other game Denver has played this year.

When you're playing against one of the best teams in the league at taking advantage of turnovers, and a team that doesn't turn the ball over, it's a good idea not to turn the ball over.

If the Broncos don't make two bad decisions, one to go for it on 4th and 1 rather than kick the FG, and Jake's poor decision to throw the ball off his back foot, halting the Broncos momentum, and putting an end to the second straight drive where they moved the ball with relative ease, New England is going into the half, at best, tied to begin with.

Troy Brown is still a keeper to the Pats as he's shown he still got life in him, defense and offense side. I hope the Pats hold onto Artrell Hawkins. As he did help strengthen the secondary when coming on board. The one thing about Stephen Neal that irks me, Im sure he was the most penalized offensive lineman with false starts.

Unfortunately, I think this was Troy's last year.

As youve probably heard, Referees have come forward that they themselves made questionable calls on plays like Palamalu's interception and the phantom pass inteference call. Here's another one

NFL VP of Officiating Mike Pereira said he'd guess that Champ Bailey's interception return Saturday was a touchback, but the video replay couldn't prove it. "If I had to guess, it's in the end zone for a touchback," Pereira told WFAN in New York. The Patriots were trailing 10-6 at the time. If they got the ball back at the 20 and went on to win, Watson's play may have gone down as one of the all time NFL moments.

Their apologies don't take the sting away. They can apologize all they want, but the whole game and this whole weekend there have been questionable calls. I don't know what Joey Porter would have said in the locker room if the Polamalu interception over-turn led to a Colts' win. Apologies don't mean anything, especially when they're intended for a losing team who has nothing to play for anymore.

A guess isn't exactly enough to overturn a call, so there's no need to appologize. The NFL almost never comes out and says a call is incorrect. In fact, the last time they've done it was 3 years ago. It's obvious why they said it about the Polamalu interception -- but why for the Champ Bailey fumble? Because it contributed towards a Pats loss?

If anything, the NFL is NOT trying to get on the Pats' side. They want as many different teams to win it every year as possible. It drives up interest. If the Pats' keep dominating it every year the NFL will eventually get pissed.

Although, if it did contribute to a Pats' win, Ben Watson would deserve praise every day for the rest of his life.
