Hes a good player, probably first round talent. All these problems will scare the s*** out of teams. Reminds me kind of of Maurice Clarett, without the year off. Plus when he got the chance to prove himself he played like s***.

He won't go in the 1st round because of all that s*** plus he never really got the chance to prove himself as a big time QB and he sucked when it mattered the most against Miami and FSU this year. Plus with Leinart and possibly Young in the draft along with probably a couple other QB's better than Vick, all of them will go before him.

Haha, I never said he would go in the first round. I just said he has the talent to be able to...

I know but I'm stating my position against future posters who will claim that he will be a 1st rounder.

Speaking of the others. Was Omar Jacobs (Bowling Green QB, I think that's his name) a senior this year?

He's a talented player too, but I think he is a Junior.

In 2004 he had 41 TD's and 4 INT's -- but his numbers declined this year by a lot, this year. He did also miss two games, though.

he was a junior but declared for the NFL draft today.

ESPN--Bowling Green quarterback Omar Jacobs will forgo his senior season and enter the 2006 NFL Draft. Jacobs leaves Bowling Green as the school's all-time leader in touchdown passes (71) and ranks third in career passing yards (6,938).

"It was a decision that was certainly not easy and a decision that I hope the people who have supported me throughout my career can understand and respect," said Jacobs.

Jacobs received a fourth-round grade from the NFL's draft advisory committee, and believes his athletic ability will be on display at the NFL scouting combine and will help his stock rise.

"Omar believes there is a need for quarterbacks in this draft," Jacobs' mother, Barbara Bean told ESPN's Joe Schad.

"We respect Omar's decision and we support him," Bowling Green head coach Gregg Brandon said. "Any coach would love to have an Omar Jacobs for another year, but we know his desire is to play professionally. We really appreciate his efforts in helping us re-establish a winning tradition at BGSU. He's a great kid who can realize a dream and he wants to devote all of his energies towards making that a reality."

I heard on ESPN Vick is considering going to a 1-AA college for a year before he enters the NFL. He would be a joke in 1-AA. He should go to UNH.:)

Rotoworld: Marcus Vick will reportedly turn pro in the wake of his suspension from Virginia Tech. "It's not a big deal. I'll just move on to the next level, baby," he said at a Virginia Beach restaurant, the Virginia reported Friday night on its Web site. Vick then said he would "definitely" enter the Draft. Vick presents a very difficult case of NFL personel men. He's got a long way to go, but has better pure passing skills than his brother. Teams can talk 'character' all they want, but they wouldn't let an athlete like Vick fall out of the first round.

I bet there is a chance he goes to Atlanta in the later rounds. Bringing him in with his brother gives Atlanta another talented Vick who they may be able to control with Michael around. But also a chance to trade Matt Schaub who many teams are interested in.

Marcus Vick is killing himself. He has all the talent to be a great football player but he hasnt matured yet. Hes not even close to maturing.

Looks like his stocks going to go further down...

RICHMOND, Va. -- Former Virginia Tech quarterback Marcus Vick, booted from the team last week for his behavior on and off the field, was charged Monday with pulling a gun on three teenagers during an altercation in a restaurant parking lot.

Vick surrendered at the Suffolk magistrate's office after three warrants were issued for his arrest Sunday, Magistrate Lisa Noel said.

The 21-year-old Vick was charged with three misdemeanor counts of brandishing a firearm, and was released on $10,000 bond.

Police said the parents of a 17-year-old boy reported that Vick pointed a weapon at their son and two others during an altercation at a McDonald's in Suffolk, a southeastern Virginia city where Vick's mother lives, Sunday night.

If convicted of all three counts, Vick could be sentenced to up to three years in jail and a $7,500 fine, police spokeswoman Lt. Debbie George said in a statement.

On Friday, Virginia Tech kicked Vick off the team, citing the cumulative effects of numerous legal problems and his unsportsmanlike conduct in the Gator Bowl, where he was caught on tape stomping on the left calf of Louisville All-American Elvis Dumervil.

He also received a speeding ticket and a ticket for driving on a suspended license in Hampton on Dec. 17 while under a "zero tolerance" policy from Virginia Tech.

The policy was implemented when Vick was suspended in 2004 because of several legal problems. He later came under further scrutiny because of replays of his actions against Dumervil.

Vick claimed it was accidental, but hurt his cause by claiming to have apologized to Dumervil, the NCAA sacks leader. Dumervil said he received no such apology.

Saturday, Vick announced he had decided to turn pro.

A Virginia Tech spokesman said university officials would have no comment on Vick's arrest.

"At this point, I think the actions speak for themselves," the spokesman, Larry Hincker, said.

Vick is the younger brother of Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick. He was the runner-up to Wake Forest's Chris Barclay, by one vote, as the Atlantic Coast Conference's offensive player of the year, and was the league's first-team quarterback.

In 24 career games, the 6-foot, 212-pound Vick threw for 2,868 yards, 19 touchdowns and 15 interceptions. He also ran 184 times for 492 yards and six TDs.

lol i was gonna post the same thing...

personally, i have nothing against him, but if i was a gm i wouldnt touch him until sometime on day 2 of the draft if at all. he needs to prove he can stay out of trouble long enough to get his head right. i'd sign him to an incentive laden contact ala Clarett and at the first misstep, cut his ass.

What do you guys think of this:

I know he has bad make-up but the guy ahs loads of talent. He is 6'0" tall and has the speed/moves to gain yardage. I say we take a risk on this kid, get our needs then draft him in the late rounds and let Belichick and the coaches turn him into a better-mannered person and WR. What the Pats have always lacked is a big strong presence in the end zone besides the TE. With him calmed down under Belichick, he could be a speedy, big physical guy and one of the top WRs to go along with Branch and Givens.
