they will only trade them if they get good value in return. granted the red sox are high on both. pedroia is close enough where they likely will not trade him. ellsbury is alittle farther away but is very promising. with prospects you never can say a team will not trade them but it would be nice to hold onto these guys.

 

As far as Ellsbury he has a chance to be a fantastic leadoff hitter. I think Coco is an excellent player but I'm not sold that he is a great leadoff guy. In the future I wouldn't be suprised to see Coco move over to left or right field and Ellsbury taking over in the middle.

Schill, Ellsbury is one outstanding young player. He can hit, field, run, throw, has a terrific attitude and has a work ethic that is beyond question. I saw this guy during his college career and he is the real deal. No way the Red Sox can afford to lose this guy; he is that good. I wouldn't be surprised if he jumps two classifications and winds up with the Red Sox late in '07 or 2008 at the latest.
