Let's see which teams you root for. Here's mine:

 

 

MLB

Dodgers Thank God for O'Malley.

 

NHL

Kings Goddamn Canadiens (1993 Finals)

 

NBA

Clippers Pathetic history, I grew up rooting for them anyway.

 

I've been a fan of all these three teams since 1987. :)

 

NFL

None, 'till L.A. gets a football team. I used to be a Rams fan.

 

College Sports

Not really passionate about college sports, but I'll root for the Trojans at the Rose Bowl.

 

Feel free to add more sports.

NFL- Jets since 1997

MLB- Yankees since 1995

NBA- Knicks since 2000

NCAA- Syracuse since 1997

 

I've seen all my teams win a combined 5 Championships

 

And take away the Yankees..1(SU Basketball)

MLB - Red Sox

NFL - Redskins

NHL - Capitals

NCAA FB - Hokies

NCAA BB - Duke

 

Explanations: Duke because a lot of their recruits in the '90s came from schools in my area. VA Tech because I'm from the Northern VA D.C. suburbs, and it is the school I was going to go to out of HS if I wasn't so interested in partying. Skins and Caps because of where I'm from. Sox because my father and grandfather (Mom's side, he was born and raised in Eastham on the Cape) were fans, and they raised me right.

MLB: Boston Red Sox and Houston Astros

 

NFL: Houston Texans and I enjoy watching the Pats

 

NBA: Boston Celtics and Houston Rockets

 

NHL: Boston Bruins... just started watching hockey, really.

 

NCAA: Any Texas A&M sports. I've grown up loving the school the entire life. And obviously, whatever school i choose to attend in Boston, I'll love (Texas A&M doesn't have a journalism program, what I want to go into).

NFL: Denver Broncos/San Francisco 49ers

NBA: Denver Nuggets

NHL: Colorado Avalanche

NCAA Basketball: UConn Huskies

NCAA Football: Notre Dame Fighting Irish

 

The Red Sox and Huskies because I'm originally from Connecticut. Denver teams because I live in Denver, now. Notre Dame because, being Irish, I was immediately attracted to them as a kid because of their name. A newer post reflects these same teams, I didn't realize I had already posted in this thread.

MLB- Yankees

NBA- Knicks

NFL- Jets

NHL- Islanders

NCAA- Fordham/St. Johns

 

I root for all new york teams those are just my favorites. I would consider myself 1 notch above a casual fan when it comes to Football and hockey, not die hard like with baseball and not a big fan like i am with Basketball.

College Hoops- UA(rizona) Wildcats

College Football- BC Eagles

College Hockey- BU Terriers

College baseball- ASU Sun Devils

 

:o This merits an explanation...I can understand liking U of A hoops and like Florida State baseball, but their rival?:dunno: Almost illegial in AZ. :lol:
