i think Bill Mueller was way ooverlooked in his career in Boston. he was a great leader in the clubhouse. just a good ballplayer. i hope someone can fill his role he had with the team.

Listening to the audio of Mueller's homer still gives me chills to this day! I am saddened to hear of his departure..what a class act that guy is!

The Los Angeles Daily News believes the Dodgers are on the verge of dropping out of the bidding for Bill Mueller.

They aren't willing to match the Pirates' three-year guarantee. The Red Sox would certainly prefer to see Mueller end up with Pittsburgh. They'd then likely get the third pick in the second round of the draft in addition to a supplemental first-round selection. The Dodgers would give them a third-round pick at best. He had another year or two left in those knees, we are losing a lot by not getting him back, and along with dougie, we are slowly but surely dismantling the kind of chemistry that makes our team great. Not necessarily the best players but the important clubhouse guys.
