Shut up, haha. We lost to 2 teams in the top 20. Im not concerned, we will be back.

Also I was reading SI today and they said Duke is the most overrated team.

Yeah I know we are every year yet somehow we end up in atleast the elite 8. SI, and ESPN can blow me. They just print whatever will get talked about the most and everyone who doesn't like Duke always says they're overrated so thats what they print.

Question. How can we be the most overrated team if we completely dominated, and blew out the team ranked #2? Wouldn't they be more overrated?

So? They played a great game. They won a game they should have lost vs VT on a lucky shot, at home no less. They hardly beat Memphis at home. They raped Seton Hall, BU, Seton Hall, and Davidson. The only win that really impresses me is the win vs Texas. I think theyre a great team, and certainly deserving of the number one spot, but I dont think you should be confident theyre gonna be number 1 wire to wire.

The Tarheels are way under rated! I can't believe they where not even in the top 25 in the preseason. What a travesty! On the other hand BC is way over rated. I wish they where that good, but they are not.

Memphis is ranked higher than BC so if your saying Memphis should be a pushover than BC would be too. Who cares how we win as long as we win.

I'm confident because I'm a Duke fan.

I never said Memphis was a pushover... If Duke is so amazing they should have won that game by more. Great teams separate themselves from the good teams, and I dont think you can say Duke has done that yet.

Look at it this way. Our last game we raped the #2 team in the country. Wouldn't you be confident? Who cares what happened before.

Also don't forget Duke has been playing without it's 3rd best player, Nemarcus Nelson. When he returns you're going to see a whole new dimension added to the team.

I think that Texas game was an idication more-so of how much Texas is overrated than how good Duke is. Even with that, it was a Duke home game -- not by location, but by percentage of fans (Texas fans are more concerned with getting tickets to the Rose Bowl than a December College Basketball game) and it should have been a blowout with how bad Texas played. Not to say Duke didn't look like the #1 team -- but they're beatable, and UConn + Marcus Williams are certainly capable of giving them everything they can handle and beating 'em.

Not to cause a fire or anything but everytime Duke wins you seem to find ways to downplay it...Umm how about a little love? :dunno:

I did give them love... I said they looked like a #1 team.

Would you like me to say something to the effect of...

"Duke was absolutely awe-inspiring. I spent most of the game watching, jaw dropped to the floor at what may just be the greatest team I've ever seen play. They are FAR better than any other team. Untouchable, in fact. UConn would be lucky if Duke let them carry their jocks -- because that's as close as them or Villanova, or any other team, is going to get."

... what I'm saying is exactly what the commentators said during the game. Call up CBS and get on them. Duke looked impressive, but it was even more about what Texas didn't do.

Sry, just what I observed with a bais eye. Anyway I think its right now Duke and UConn being the top two in the land. Villanova with Curtis Sumpter would be scarier (if that's possible) but that was a devastating injury.

Blow me, they're overrated. They lost all their good guys.

They lost their top 6 scorers from last season. What they've done so far this year has been pretty amazing.

Bump. A ton of ranked teams lost this week. Uconn, Villanova, Memphis, Illinois, Michigan State, Louisville, Washington, Oklahoma, NC State, Maryland, Ohio State, Kentucky, and Arizona... HUGE amount of teams. BC is playing right now, and Duke plays Wake tonight, so at least one more ranked team will lose.

Yeah, I'd rather UConn get that bad game out of their system right now. As bad as it sounds, sometimes a loss is best for a team!

Ahh, I didn't see that. I thought they'd come out and smoke LSU.

It's too early to get worried, though. Should get it going again!

Duke won by 18. Turning point in the game was when I forgot his name from Wake #33 had a breakaway and he was all alone except for his teammate who watched him try to make a reverse dunk but he blew it, McRoberts got the rebound drove it down court dropped it off the Redick and nailed the three. The guys who were doing the game for FSN said that could be a turning point and it ended up being it. I didn't see the whole game but when I periodically checked it Duke's lead kept growing after that play. That's what happens when you showboat.

I am so psyched to go watch UConn and syracuse on Monday at 9 PM at the Carrier Dome, there 33,000 tickets sold so far. Man, that place will be rockin.

Should be fun! Wish I could go, but being in Colorado, it'd be difficult. Heh.

I'm for UConn, though, so best of luck in the game!

I think UConn is pretty overrated. Gay hasnt developed fully yet and is still pretty inconsistent, and I dont really think they have the same chemistry and intangibles as past teams have had for UConn.

I really think for the most part, BC has adapted well to the ACC. The ACC has some of the toughest places to play (Maryland, Duke, etc) and they've been exposed to it now. I hope they do well in the tournament, they have the potential to be a championship team led by Dudley and Smith.
