So who remembers last year, when the Celtics lost to the Nets and Grizzlies at home, the entire fanbase was s***ing bricks (except me, of course), they went 5-8 to end the season, hope going into the playoffs was non-existent, and then what do you know - they take the Lakers to 7 games in the Finals and likely would have won if not for Ray Allen's f***tardery. Funny how similar things are looking for Miami this year.

Pierce looked downright lazy last season, and Garnett wasn't fully healthy at this point in the season. Then there was a handful of games where they went to post-game press conferences stoned... They just weren't taking the regular season seriously, and it was extremely clear, and they even explicitly said it. Can you say the same thing about the Heat?

You buy that crap? There is no easier thing to say after getting upset multiple times in your house than 'oh, we're not taking this seriously'.

Lol imagine the uproar if any one of the Heat guys had said something like this.

Incorrect, Miami has struggled all season long against elite teams. So far, they've really proven only that they can beat up on the less-talented teams.

Sure they're a good squad, with three elite players, but after that, the similarities to the 2008 Celtics pretty much stop (You compared the two teams a few pages back). They don't have that sort of depth, and they lack the same sort of chemistry. The '08 Celtics were dominating everyone, all season long.

Your comparison also doesn't hold up on the diversity of the Celtics' big three vs. the Heat's big three.

You can compare them to the Celtics all you want, you may even be right, that the Heat somehow get hot, and win games against the elite teams that they struggled against. However, as things stand right now, your argument doesn't really hold much water.

I accidentally said Cavs instead of Heat. I don't know why, but I keep saying the Cavs instead of the Heat.

I can't believe how quickly the Celtics deals turned from "complete garbage" and "outright horrible" in my mind to a very prudent move. They traded away 5 guys... 4 of which are currently injured. If they hadn't made the trades, their center right now would be... who exactly?

Kr looks like a perfect fit in this team offensively, and they picked up a good deal of size. Murphey looks like a trainwreck on the court, but between the O'Neals and Baby, he shouldn't get much playing time later in the season anyway. Doc keeps saying that he still doesn't know how to use Green, but having him as a major contributer from the bench couldn't hurt.

Murphey is just very rusty it is almost good that big baby got hurt because he is able to get playing time. He is defiantly not in mid season form yet

I don't think you can dismiss the Heat's issues so cavalierly. There are some legitimate problems with their late game offense that need to be addressed if they're going to make a deep run in the playoffs. All the close losses against good teams isn't a fluke, in my opinion.

It's annoying when the Heat lose. They'll only get more light discussing how they have been in a slump. Then my facebook news feed explodes with "Heat suck" "LeBron please leave" but when they win they're the greatest team ever. I'll gladly take LeBron if you don't want him. Suck it up and take the loss.

The cavs will take Lebron back if you don't want him..I'm sure there is still time for a playoff push :P
