Ital what? I'm pretty sure I remember the Mavs beating the Suns fair. That's like the only basketball season I paid attention too.

Emmz, you can thank the media for making him to be the next Jordan. I don't even think Kobe will be like Jordan. No one will. As for being faithful f*** that he played his ass off and didn't get jack s***. He came close but the Spurs shut em down in the finals. If you have an oppurtunity to play with 2 elite superstars to win a championship your damn right he's going to leave. He owes Cleveland nothing f*** them. Just because Jordan stayed with his team doesn't mean LeBron has to also.

Spurs, not Suns. I'm not a Suns fan. lol

I agree with you, but the media portrayed him as the second coming of Jordan. Obviously, I think we all know, there's probably not going to be anyone like Jordan. I'm sure MJ thinks what Lebron did was the right choice. However, he's always going to be in the shadow of Michael Jordan, everything he does there will be people who compare it to Jordan.

It's sad, but that's just how it is. People will never shut up, and to them, Lebron will never be a real competitor, because he's not doing it like MJ.

And no, Kobe doesn't even come close to Jordan, I think MJ towers over all others in the NBA. In other sports there's usually at least a handful or two of guys who you could consider the greatest of all time, but Jordan is head and shoulders above all others in basketball, and that's why it's sad that Lebron was made out to be like that. It's unreasonable to expect that. Although, I'd say he's done about as good a job as anyone could do of living up to such big expectations.

I agree although not quite to your extent' date=' but I think that karma gave the Spurs 2007 to make up for the fact that it f***** them out of 2006. Kind of like the Red Sox with 2004 to make it up for 2003. ;)[/quote']

It wasn't karma, they should have been arrested for assaulting Steve Nash so many times. That was a classless way to win a series that could have been epic if they played it the right way. I still love Tim Duncan, but they played dirty to beat the Suns.

You said the Mavs didn't deserve to be in the finals because the refs f***ed them over. I'm pretty sure the western conference finals was Mavs vs Suns that's why I brought that up.

Not necessarily.

"There's no way, with hindsight, I would've ever called up Larry, called up Magic and said, 'Hey, look, let's get together and play on one team,'" Jordan said. “Things are different. I can't say that's a bad thing. It's an opportunity these kids have today. In all honesty, I was trying to beat those guys."

“Obviously, when you look at the Dream Team, they were on my team and it wasn’t too much of a competitive thing,” he said. “I’m a competitive guy, and I like to play against competitive players.”

LeBron's mistake wasn't leaving Cleveland. It was the classless way he left. Part of the hype surrounding LeBron is his own doing as well. The "Chosen One" tattoo will make him look bad until he gets a ring. Also, if you don't want to be compared to MJ, don't steal his talcum powder pre-game ritual.

Looking forward to beating the Heat in 7. Let's go Bulls!

Yeah, I meant the Semi-Finals, Mavs vs. Spurs.

I totally understand MJ's point of view too, but Lebron owed nothing to Cleveland, I have to say that they did a horseshit job of putting a team around him for years. I can understand Lebron's frustration.

As a Celtics fan, I honestly believe that if Lebron had played a full series in 2010, Cleveland would have been the ones to face the Lakers.

Oh I know, but it's pretty unfair to compare him to Jordan. Lebron is good, he puts up some huge numbers, he can carry a team, but really.

http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/j/jordami01.html

Those are stats no one in modern basketball will ever put up again. 7 consecutive scoring titles, 10 consecutive years that he played he won the scoring title. Some of the greatest players of all time went without titles because they couldn't beat Jordan. Even if someone is trying to be like Jordan, and he puts up big numbers, you shouldn't have to be compared to him for everything you do.

Seriously, how many times have you seen someone, either on a website, or one of your buddies, or on ESPN, compare the two? Talcum powder ritual or not, I think we all know it's unreasonable to compare anyone to MJ.

Rajon Rondo's dislocated elbow will not require surgery, according to Celtics GM Danny Ainge.

Rondo's willingness to play through pain, essentially one-armed, has carved out a place for him in Boston's postseason lore. He'll have all summer to rest and heal, and (hopefully) work on his jumper and his free throw shooting.

Celtics big man Jermaine O'Neal will have surgery on his left wrist this summer.

J.O. battled wrist and problems all season -- he already had knee surgery, and now he's cleaning up some more damage. He's considering retirement but will likely return for one more season at $6.2 million.

Celtics GM Danny Ainge suggested that Paul Pierce might come off the bench next season, assuming Jeff Green is re-signed.

"Maybe there’s a change of roles," said Ainge. "Maybe Paul comes off the bench, cuts down on his minutes." Pierce is slowing down a bit and monitoring his minutes will be more important than ever, but a move to the bench seems extreme. We'll keep a close eye on his role during training camp and the preseason.

Looking forward to your excuse mongering when the Heat win it all.

Oh good' date=' Danny Ainge wants to re-sign Green. I was so worried I'd make it through today without heartburn.[/quote']

That would be a good move when Ray Ray leaves next season and beyond. Move Pierce to SG and start Green at SF. Allen picked up his 10 million player option. Unrealistic, but whatever

Did you even watch Green with us this year? That guy is almost worthless' date=' he's a turnover machine.[/quote']

He almost cut his TO in half when he was in Boston compared to OKC.
