And I'm pointing out just how butthurt you are.

What did I do poorly? Shaq and Arenas blow LeBron away in terms of aggressive, irrelevant, non-sensical trash talk. This is a fact. The arena dominance speech by you was just a pathetic attempt to reconcile everything here.

There it is again. What's more annoying than some guy making 'Hibachi' one of his nicknames and yelling it after every shot, or another guy constantly referring to another team as the Sacramento Queens?

You really, really suck at this.

Because you're both clowns who get off on whining about him every chance you get.

Suns could never make you look this stupid. Nice try.

This might be the only correct thing you've said all day. You should bask in that for a while. You're right, Suns can't make me look stupid, and frankly, neither can you. The only person here that can make me look stupid is myself.

(And Dipre, Example, A700, and ORS when it comes to a statistical baseball argument, and since I know better than that, that's why you don't see me EVER take them on in such a battle. I choose my battles wisely and I only bother getting involved in arguments I know I can win.)

How is he a quitter? You sound like a whiny little bitch.

STOP IT ALREADY.

For the record, while Suns and I both hate LeBron, I want to make it clear that I do not think he's a quitter, and he certainly does not owe me anything. (If anything, I owe him for getting swept by the Spurs in the 2007 NBA Championship Series)

I actually find it surprising that a lot of you don't hate LeBron. Well, I knew that Suns would hate LeBron forever, but I'm just as surprised that many of you don't hate LeBron as many of you are surprised that I do hate him.

Why would i personally hate Lebron? Why would i personally hate any athlete for that matter? I don't know Lebron, and neither does anyone here.

Granted, there are exceptions of people who are obvious douchebags (T.O, Vick, Moss, Clemens and Favre, i'm looking straight at you) who may warrant some hatred, but the Lebron hate is unjustified and retarded.

I hate Yankee players for the uniform they wear, but that doesn't compel me to hate poeple i don't know personally or wish them ill, since i am no longer twelve years old.

suns is a case in point, he personifies the "retarded" part of "retarded hatred".

Fire away.

Then perhaps hate is too strong of a word. But he really annoys the f*** out of me, he needs to disappear for a long time, and I hope the Heat lose every game of the season.

For the record, I don't hate him like I hate certain people in my life (none of which are here for the record)

Once again, I think your "dislike" for Lebron James is stupid. If you're going by the "I don't like players who get too much attention" ******** then your rating a player in a retarted, unnecessary way. You wanting the Heat to lose every game because LeBron on the team really means you have a strong amount of animosity towards him.

Nice. Ital and I are stupid for having legitimate reasons for disliking LeBron. Thanks for clearing that up, guys. It's not enough that we acknowledge he's a great player; we should also worship the ground he walks on. We've made it perfectly clear why we don't like him. Get over it, fanboys.

In other news, Rose gets his first career triple double. About time!

I don't mind at all that he left Cleveland and chose to join Miami. Playing year after year without a supporting cast must be quite frustrating, and I can understand Lebron wanting to play with other stars. I actually find it kind of interesting that most athletes get killed for prioritizing winning over money, yet Lebron gets the same backlash for clearly caring about winning.

On the other hand, I see how people can find him unlikeable. His move from Cleveland to Miami can be construed as some sort of cop out, and while it doesn't bother me, I do see the other side to it. He also says some rather idiotic things (more so than most athletes in my opinion), whether it be about his race or NBA contraction.

The main reason that Lebron doesn't bother me is that, in almost every case, I only care about what these athletes do on the court/field. There are exceptions to this (Michael Vick), but for the most part their goofy actions off the court/field are meaningless to me.

Keeper show me where I called you stupid. I'll be waiting. You're twisting my words around. I said the idea of "I dislike Lebron because he gets to much media was stupid". There's a difference but hey take it how you want it. I stand by what I said.

I don't mind that LeBron went to Miami. I think he had every right to leave Cleveland. I just don't think that he should have turned where he was going into a broadcast special where he wasted people's time and played with their emotions to say "I'm taking my talents to South Beach"

I mean who the f*** does he think he is thinking he's so special that he deserves a f***** TV show to tell everyone where he's going. The only possible worse way he could have handled that was to host an American Idol spin off special where people texted in their vote as to where he'd play (text LeBron-1 to vote for Cleveland, LeBron-2 for NY, LeBron-3 for Miami etc)

I respect the fact that he willingly took less money to pursue a championship, I don't have a problem with that at all, but it was the egotistical nature and lack of class that he handled the situation and didn't give Cleveland the proper notice or decency they deserved.

And if he's going to talk s*** to Cleveland by rubbing in a loss, then stand by it. Don't be a f***** coward and try and weasel your way out of your statements. Stand by what you said.

And in my opinion, the "Chosen One" tatoo is about as bad as when Kanye West had the picture of him looking like Jesus in that magazine.

I wasn't singling you out, RSSF. It was mostly JE, but you and Dipre were also taking shots at Ital and myself for disliking LeBron.

Well we have every right to call you out. You can't call someone a pussy and not know the status of the persons injury. I wasn't the one who got on your case about it J_E did. I was more on ital then I was you. As for you guys having "legitamate reasons to dislike LeBron" I still haven't seen it.

I called him a pussy more for not standing by his comments, but for this example, Keeper had pointed out somewhere in the thread that his teammates said he looked fine in the warmup. That might have been the post that started all of this.

All reasonable.

I certainly agree that he should have informed Cleveland of his decision prior to announcing it on National TV. I'd be interested to hear J_E's take on this, but I don't see how even the most ardent Lebron supporters could argue that not informing Cleveland didn't lack a proper amount of tact.

As for The Decision as a whole, while parts of it were poorly handled (as you've outlined), I don't have an issue with the general idea of it. The Lebron James situation was a very unique one, and with so many people hanging on every little rumor or tidbit about where he was headed, an announcement of this sort seemed like a reasonable and logical way to inform the world of his decision.

I don't love the Cleveland talk either, and that just fits right in with my opinion that he has a habit of saying goofy things. That stuff just doesn't bother me, but I understand how it bothers others.

The tattoo thing, while also a little silly, just confirms that Lebron, like so many other people, loves himself. I don't really find that to be a big deal.

Like any one on the team would know what he is feeling. Warmup is NOT THE ACTUAL GAME.

I think that this is very well said. There isn't anything that I could really add or clarify. Well put.

As for you guys having "legitamate reasons to dislike LeBron" I still haven't seen it.

Facts:

1. LeBron has a tattoo on his back that reads "Chosen." He has no rings. Nuff said.

2. LeBron led on a lot of teams last summer, when in fact he had already made up his mind to go to the Heat well before free agency started.

3. LeBron's decision to air his "Decision" was a debacle. He didn't even have the courtesy to inform Dan Gilbert before it all went down.

4. Instead of being motivated by the challenge of winning a championship as "the man," LeBron formed "The Heatles" and piggybacked on Wade's team to pave the easiest possible road to winning. Is it all about the money? No. Does he want to win? Yes. Is he gutless? Yes, IMO. Would Magic and Bird have teamed up to win a championship? Nope, they were true competitors.

5. LeBron is unoriginal. A talcum powder ritual before the game starts... Gee, where have we seen that before?

6. LeBron is an asshat. You can tell a lot about someone by how he treats people "lower" than him.

7. When LeBron realized that he had become a "villain" in the NBA, he pulled out the race card.

8. LeBron talks the talk, but does he walk the walk? Well, he does, if you count his crab dribble move. That's traveling, my friends.

9. Does LeBron owe Cleveland anything? No. Was he classless for leaving the way he did? Yes.

10. The GOAT wouldn't have been embarrassed and swept in the Finals. Comparisons to MJ are laughable. Granted, this one isn't really LeBron's fault. But it's still obnoxious.

11. I never thought I'd ever root for Kobe to win. Enter LeBron and his shenanigans.

Thanks. I see both sides to this. It's an interesting situation considering all the different aspects involved.

Most of this has been discussed in the last few pages of this thread, but the bolded part interests me. Do you think he hasn't?

How many rings does he have?

That's a team accomplishment though. And if you want to talk in those terms, few players have accomplished more with less around them than Lebron has.
