Nah. Peter was more annoying than funny back then' date=' Stewie is a lot funnier as the metrosexual wise-ass he is now rather than the diabolical baby, Quagmire and Cleveland weren't funny at all back then, and guys like Bruce and Adam West hadn't really been brought into the fold yet, and they're two of the funniest characters in the show.[/quote']

I haven't watched a new show in over two years, but South Park hit the nail on the head. Nothing but endless cutaway jokes, with a massacred plot.

I loved Brian's character in Seasons 1 & 2, but after the show came back, his character wasn't the same. He was the canine Christopher Hitchens, but now he's just a douche.

Meh. Doesn't fail to make me laugh.

I've already conceded that LeBron will win the MVP' date=' but I still think that he's not the most deserving. The Heat without Wade are a lot worse than the Cavs are without LeBron.[/quote']

But you really think the differences in supporting casts are worth 20 wins?

Most wins isn't part of any official MVP criteria, that's just something the voters started doing, and now have to continue the trend every year (as I said). Would you argue that the only reason Nowitzki (07) or Iverson (01) got their MVP awards was because of the idiotic 'best player on the best team' theory?

Wins may not be one of the official criteria, but everything else being equal what should the voters look at?

yes you can. he's not the most valuable player if the rest of the team is good. Look at why nash won the MVP(2), without him, the suns sucked balls.

the most valuable player should be a player that if removed, turns a playoff team into a s***** team. I'd say the cavs still the make the playoffs without Lebron bron.

With Amare Stoudamire and Shawn Marion on their teams, I think they would have been fine.

Damning with faint praise, the 8th seed in the east will probably be 10 games under .500.

The MVP is an individual award, not a team award. LeBron James has the better numbers, and has had a better season. That's all that matters.

The Cavs would fall pretty far minus LeBron. I'm sure LeBron is worth more wins than any other player. That is what makes him the most valuable.

no they weren't. I remember the first year Nash won MVP. He had to sit out a few games cuz of injury and I'm pretty sure they lost every single game by a lot. Looked like a completely different team.

Nash shouldn't have won either of his MVPs, IMO. Kobe deserved them both, just like LeBron deserved to win last year instead of Kobe. But they gave it to Kobe as a makeup call and because he had never won one before. Sort of like when Scorsese finally won Best Director. Although The Departed did make him a worthy recipient.

Awesome analysis.

i'm sorry, what I'm trying to say is Steve Nash is white and the people who decide MVP's are racist and that's why he won.

there happy

The San Antonio Spurs' Big Three is down to two.

Manu Ginobili will miss the rest of the season and playoffs for the Spurs after tests Monday revealed that his troubled right ankle has gotten worse.

It was the news San Antonio dreaded after Ginobili sat out the fourth quarter in Sunday's blowout loss at Cleveland, and leaves the Spurs limping toward the postseason in search of a fifth NBA title since 1999.

Pretty nice HoF class. His Airness, David Robinson, John Stockton, Jerry Sloan. I did think it was a little odd that Marcus Jordan announced where he was going to college on the same day his dad got inducted. Thunder stealer, or just bad timing?

MJ getting inducted tomorrow. Interesting fact: Terry Francona was his manager when he played baseball in Birmingham.

Wow, Brandon Jennings dropped 55 tonight. I said I wanted Jonny Flynn to win RoY, and I stand by that, but Jennings is having an oustanding season so far.

lol probably true.

Anyway. How about the rookie class this year in the NBA? Some very impressive guys such as Brandon Jennings, Stephen Curry and my personal front runner right now: Tyreke Evans.

Not that it mattered' date=' but why on earth was the espn game tonight Wizards and Kings.[/quote']

It was actually a good game though, although both teams aren't good, it was a good game.

Yeah, the rookie class this year looks really good, specifically guard wise.

Yeah, Stephen Curry could have easily been drafted higher, but I realize why he wasn't. Anyways, I've been frustrated with Flynn. Guy's been a bust, just like Randy Foye was before him, and Nbdi Ebi or whatever his weird name was. HUGE bust.

Yeah' date=' lets call a 20 year old kid who had 2 years of college experience and is putting up 14 a game a bust after 26 games.[/quote']

Excuse me, but weren't you the guy complaining the other day about how you "barely post anymore because of dismissive and confrontational posters", yet 90% of the posts you make (This one a case in point) are both dismissive and confrontational. When advocating for a solution to a common problem, setting an example is of the utmost importance. This is not aimed at being inflammatory, but to illustrate the point that if you don't like the way the site is running, then you should do your best to set the example that helps correct the issue.

To avoid a shitstorm, i will not issue further responses, but this is quite simply the truth.

My post wasn't confrontational or dismissive at all. Emmz said something stupid about Jonny Flynn, so I responded to it. There was literally no need for you to make that post whatsoever.
