The FA market must be weak... I kid. But 6 years is a little long to offer a guy who just keeps getting hurt...I would have done like 3-4 but 6 is a stretch...but who knows, maybe this will prove to be a great move. :dunno:

Cetlics had their first summer league game today, and damn it was a good one. They beat the Mavs team 91-85. Lots of good things I see from the box:

 

Ryan Gomes- 12-18, 29 points, 9 boards, 1 assist, 2 blocks, 2 steals.

G-Money- 12 points, 7 boards

Telfair- 5-10 (3-5 3pt), 17 points, 4 boards, 6 assists, 1 steal

Big Al- 10 points, 8 boards, 3 assists, 2 blocks

Rajon Rondo- 4-7, 8 points, 1 board, 4 assists, 4 steals, 1 block

Allan Ray- 5-7, 10 points

 

Lotta good things from that box score from what I can see. I think all 6 of those guys will make the team for real.

He was supposed to go first round, maybe even in the lottery if it wasn't for his knee injury. He hasn't had a problem with it for over a year so he's looking like a steal, he was an absolute animal in college. Danny really loves those deformed players, Green's finger, Allan Ray's eye, Powe's knee...

LOL...that statement makes it seem like he is a smaller piece to their puzzle. If they trade one of the best players in the game, their going to get alot of young talent, cash and picks or Pierce with some young guys, cash and picks.

 

I don't see Minnesota trading KG to Boston without getting the likes of Green, Rondo, Al Jefferson (KG's replacement) Delonte, possibly Pierce (depending on who else is in the package)...point being is getting KG and his contract is gonna change the complexion of most teams. I don't see him moving honestly...

Wow it's finally time to bump this thread..

 

Celtics had their first preseason game tonight and they looked mad nice. Rondo had a hell of a game, 11 points 5 rebounds 8 assists 4 steals I think was his line. Olowokandi had a surprise of a great game. The "new" Big Al looks a lot better, faster and more agile. Overall I enjoyed watching the new guys play together, and I was kind of basketball deprived until this game. Here's to a great season.
