If you did, then you know that there is an article entitled "Steinbrener Should Fire Himself" and on the back side of that "The Boss Should Tell Himself He's Fired"

Oh man, it is great. I have already hung them up on my wall proudly.

EDIT: Sorry, Mods might want to move this to General Baseball Talk. My bad...

No, and couldn't find it online. Strangly though, if you Google/Images "NY Times Sports Page" the second image that pops up is one of Bronson Arroyo singing into a mic. :dunno:

Wow this isn't surprising. The biggest cry baby/fairweather city in the world turning on the owner that has brought them countless titles ... no ... I dont believe it <_ . someone please tell the ny media to pick a goddamn side. they either talk up good things too much or cry about bad much. you need have happy medium but i don think that ever happen in ny.>

Please NYers ... go cry some more about Steiny and the 200+ million he's putting into your team so you can win.

How is it that NYers can cry about their baseball team more than Pittsburghers?

If you think the NY Times represents what most Yankee fans, or New Yorkers, think...well...you're probably not the sharpest tool.

The NY Times is to NY as The Globe is to Boston. What the f*** do you mean the Times doesn't represent the majority of the fans?

Spoken like a true non - New Yorker...

If people want to read about inflation in Southern Chile, they read the Times. If they want to read about the Yankees, they turn to the Post or Daily News.

Steinbrenner is f***ing up that franchise anyway. Sure he spends the money, but by undermining the coaches (Zimmer, Stot, Torre) he's done irreparable damage. It comes down to the Tampa heirarchy basically taking over, and screwing over Cashman, Torre and Co. He's not going to be happy until Pinella is in here, and that scares the s*** out of me. I can't stand Pinella as a coach, and I don't think he'll work with the Yankees. I'd love to see what happens the first time he yells at Sheffield. He can kick and scream at little kids, but Torre's attitude is perfect and is the only kind that will succeed with this team.

I live in NY....I work with tons and tons of Yankee fans....they are all complaining about Steinbrenner and how he handles the Yankees. A majority of people in this environment read the NY Times. The big discussion today was about Mel and how he ripped Stein. While most of them were getting on Mel's ass this year about how crappy the pitching staff has been they have now switched to saying he is a hero for saying what he said about George and hate that he decided to leave.

...they were all saying A-Rod was the best player in baseball this year... now they hate him

....Ortiz wasn't unstoppable in our playoff series....but I sure don't hate him....MVP

I usually get The Post, but who cares what a newspaper says, a lot of you think what you read in the papers us fans think, and its kind of stupid

If the front page of the paper says Steinbrenner should leave, that doesn't mean I'm sitting in my house think of ways to get Steinbrenner to leave.

Ignore the newspaper covers if you think it relects the fans......I mean, you hate Yankee fans because the NY Times said someting bad about our owner???
