St. Louis vs Houston NLCS Thread

Here are the first 3 games pitching matchups as I see them:

 

Carpenter vs. Pettitte

Mulder vs. Oswalt

Morris vs. Clemens

 

From there on out, the situation will most likely dictate later games' matchups.

 

St. Louis is looking like the most complete team in the postseason this year, but Houston's big 3 pitchers could dominate a 7 game series. It should be a very good series.

Beltran was insane last year. Cardinals have a better pitching rotation, lost some offense but it levels out against the Astros. They also have a solid BP (minus the threat of a Tavarez meltdown...), so on paper it looks like it's going to be an exciting series.

I predict a 7 game thriller. Astros have a title wave of momentum after that 18 inning game. Should be fun to watch.

That could be very true. I don't know if the Card's FO is as impatient as a certain someone in Tampa though. He did lead them to the best record the last two years.

I didn't think I'd ever see St Louis loosing to Houston 3-1 in the N.L.C.S. I still say the Cards are gonna come back and win it somehow. They have a good chance tonight with Carpenter pitching.

They do but they haven't done anything with RISP. The pitching has always kept them in the game for the most part.
