Haven't really read what the Yankee fans have said in this thread, but on the Yankee board the majority of their fans are blaming this loss on the umps. Now I thought the ump tonight was inconsistent, but they make it sound like that he called all strikes for Wells and all balls for Wang clearly not true, but that there were 2 different strike zones for the pitchers. Your thoughts?

My thoughts? Watch the first inning. Wells wasn't presented with a good strikezone AT ALL there. If their players would hit the ball and capitalize, then they would score runs. The ump was just as bad for the Yanks as he was for the Sox, just at different times during the game. Unfortunately for the Yanks, it was inconsistent for them in the most crucial part of the game.

There is some truth to that, but Yanks should blame themselves for the followings:

1-They made two costly errors.

2-Their manager kept their struggling starter for too long.

3-I am not sure why Sierra was in the lineup, he is not productive.

4-They had several chances (left bases loaded), and they did not deliver.

Sox will gladly take any win.

I definately saw two different strike zones in the game, but whatever. It's six one way half a dozen the other, no use in complaining and hopefully the Yanks will have a slight advantage tomorrow and capitalize on it like the Red Sox did tonight.

Awesome game Wells was strong again and what a job by the bullpen. They gave up 1 hit. The bats were good tonight as well. Now let's hope the Wake can continue his great pitching against the Yankees tommorow.

considering the fact that he's a knuckleballer, I cant think of another major league pitcher that could do a better job pitching on just 3 days rest than Wakefield

I thought the K-Zone was wider for both teams not just the sox. there were several pitches out of the zone and low that they called for wang. the strikeout on AROD was probably a little bit inside but my god this is the series for the division swing the bat "MVP. "

The Yankee fans are just totally blind to see that Wang was getting similar calls so they need to blame the homeplate ump because their team couldnt get it done.
