They worship satan so thehy get whatever they want in return for eternal damnation.

LMFAO!

I wonder if people hate the Pats like people hate the Yankess? Do they hate Pats fans as much as Yanks fans? Hum I wonder?

I would think most NFL fans would not think of the Pats like the Yankees. The Yankees spend a enormous amount more money than any other team in MLB. The Pats have the same salary cap as everyone else. We just have hard working players, good coaching, and a good player personal dept. We don't buy players left and right, we earn out rings!

PS - When I say "we" I mean the Pats managment, coaching, and ownership ect. I'm just a supporting fan of the best football team ever.

I dont know about the best football team EVER, definately of the last 5 years, but not by any stretch of the imagination are they the best team ever ;)

Football and Baseball arecompletely different, its not fair to compare the way the Yankees do business to the way the Pats do business due to the way each sport is run. Salary Cap, luxury tax, draft, player availability, player development, etc, etc, etc...

I really don't want to go off topic but I want to address this. It's not that the Pats buy players. It's that they always win, and they get their asses kissed by everyone in the media. I watched the first half of tonights game and by the end of the first quarter Madden had full grasp on Brady's nuts and wasn't going to let go. I had to turn it off.

Agreed. I don't think any of these Patriots teams have been better than some of the 49ers Championship teams or the '86 Bears. They're certainly up there, though.

One of the things that pisses other fans off about the Pats is that they seem to ALWAYS get the breaks. Breaks like the tuck rule or Drew Bennett dropping an easy pass or the kicker from Carolina kicking the ball out of bounds. I cant complain because the Yankees during the championship years seemed to get those breaks also.

Wow that is a scary looking Mark Bellhorn.

Yankees > Patriots, unless you are talking about the last 4 years.

In all honesty, I think the Patriots are more respected because of the manner they've taken care of their business in the last few years. That makes them less hated, far less than the Yankees. However, for history and overall greater franchise the Yankees own New England.

I agree 100% and I have Bellhorn in my sig just for this series. The way the Yankees are playing I'm trying everything.

right so you are saying opposing teams are just letting the Patriots win?

When did I say that? The fact of the matter is if the Refs get the tuck rule right the Pats only have 2 titles. Drew Bennett dropped a very easy pass and the Titans had MANY chances that night. Whens the last time you saw a kicker just kick one out of bounds? If your denying the fact that they get breaks then your nuts.

The tuck rule WAS right. That's why it's called the tuck rule... it's a rule in the rulebook. It's a s***** rule... but they won that game fairly.

Actually I think, the '79 Steelers were the best team of all time, and that's not just a homer pick because I'm heard plenty of people say it before.

I really don't like hearing people talk about how the Pats are the best team ever(stretched over their 3 SB wins) because they still haven't won 4, and I can't name more than 1 guy on the Pats that is going to be a HOFer. I'll admit that it's amazing what the Pats have done but they're still far from the best team ever.

I don't hate the Pats I dislike and respect them. I am a Yankes fan, but also a Jets fan, football is my true love, so in that case, you can see me to hate the team in my same division that always win, but I do respect them. But there is one thing both team have in common, they do what they have to to win. If people think that if football had nop cap, all the teams would still be under it??? If you have the money spend it, even if George only had 100mil to work with, I'm posotive that he could put together a winning franchise. "they care too much about winning, thats why I hate the Yankees" thats what someone told me the other day.....good reason.

But back to the topic, Patriots were strong the last few years, but the Yankees have been strong their entire history except the pre1920s and 1980's

The Yanks of old get all of my respect, the O'Neil, Brocious, Martinez years when a lot of the Yankee players came from their farm system, not like the 200 mill Yanks, buying whoever they need. The Pats, if they win 3 in a row, would be the best team EVER in football history. That is a feat no one has yet to accomplish, but the Pats as of now are stil behind the Niners, Steelers, and Bears greats.

there was an interesting article in the paper, about whether it was harder to build a team then or now ('79 Steelers, '05 Pats). The Steelrs had to draft al of their stars, eventually getting i believe it was 9 HOFers such as Bradshaw, etc. Now a days you can sign people, etc. However, back then since there was no FA, team chemistry was way up, unlike now where certain people are traded/unsigned, and new players brought in. That may make it harder somewhat for now teams, but my edge still goes to "then" teams.

I disagree. Some teams never got a chance to go for 3 in a row. Broncos had two in a row before losing John Elway, one of the greatest QB's ever -- so I'd say they never really got a chance. I think those Broncos teams get overlooked in the discussion of best team ever.

The Bears, which a lot of people agree was the best team ever, was broken up following their Super Bowl. Had they been kept together, they could've done it.

Like I said before, I don't think the Patriots could beat the Steelers teams, the Broncos, 49ers, or the Bears. They may not have been able to get up and win 20+ straight games, etc -- but when they showed up for a game, they embarassed anybody wearing an opposing teams jersey, not just winning on a last second FG or such. That doesn't make the Pats feat any worse, but I think there's a difference between beating the second best team by 3 and beating them by multiple touchdowns.

It's a rule, it was a very obscure rule that no noe knew existed before that game (it is now called at least once a game at both NCAA and NFL levels). It is a s***** rule but it's a rule, they won fair and square, who are you Al Davis?

you interpret things in a strange way...he said the Pats get BREAKS.

and I can't name more than 1 guy on the Pats that is going to be a HOFer.

Its still early in his career so its hard to determine at this stage...but Tom Brady has a chance. He's already among the elite QB's in the game right now

Not one of those players you mentioned there came from the Yankees system. Brosious came from Oakland, Tino came from Seattle, and Paulie came from Cincy.

I can understand what you mean by that, but I'm just saying the Yankes have more people brought up in their farm system on the team now, then they did then cuz on the current roster its Bernie, Jeter, Cano, Wang, Rivera, Crosby, Phillips, Posada, Matsui(maybe not cuz he played in Japan, but I mean cuz he was only a Yankee), escolona and guys like that, and even though a few of them played during the time your talking about, more play now.

Even though they should, I cannot think that a kicker or unter will ever be inducted into the hall of fame

And I am too with Empirestrikesback26 and 26 to 6, I'm a Jets fan, and not a Pats
