I hate to break it to you buddy but I believe your the one who mentioned A-Rod and what charities he donates his money to. I was just anwsering your question. One more point... obviously Sox fans do care because they would'nt have made this thread wondering what Yankee fans thought of this. Take your own advice because your post made about no sense when you read the whole thread.[/quote

Your answers are nothing more then a confused collection of diatribe. It is obviously you who either didn't read the thread from the beginning or lacks the mental capacity to follow the logical progression ( editeding the logic digressions from some NY posters ). Because here is the the poster who brought A-rod in :

How do you know that A Rod hasn't given money? Are you his accountant? Didn't think so...

Obviously, I didn't ask you any question. As far as your ridiculous statement of "Sox fans wouldn't have started this thread wondering what the Yakees thought of this" there no mention in the original post saying " Please Yankees fans respond, we just love to hear your BS ". Once again your wrong. Finally, you throw my name in linked to wrong staements, opinions and quotes. I must conclude that your aren't capable of any intelligent interaction. You therefore, no longer exsist as far as I'm concerned. Goodbye.

Did you not ask what charities A-Rod donated to by comparing him to Schilling? Riverdogs started the thread because he wanted to prove to Yankee fans that Schilling was a good guy. So your still telling me that it was started only because of the Schilling donation or was it partly because he wanted to prove to Yankee fans that he was a good guy? Dont hate me because you put your foot in your mouth.

You're worst than I thought. Even when presented with the evidence, you still blindly and erroneously gone on misquoting, citing partial passages out of context, in a weak attempt to make a point. I have no use for you.

Why are you replying to someone you just said doesn't exist (as far as your concerned?)

What happend? I thought I no longer exsist? You even said goodbye to me! Just another example of how you care. How did I misquote you? Did I edit your post? Give it up buddy and take your own advice..........just ignore me because I dont have to post anymore in this thread to show how you put your foot in your mouth. This will be my last response to you in this thread....have a nice day :)

It is a very nice gesture on his part, and it's more than what other players have done. I have known he is a charitable guy for a while now though, with all he has done for Lou Gehrig's Disease (he even had his own segment on Lou Gehrig's Yankeeography on YES), but I still hate the guy.

Are you all really so jaded by the rivalry that you can only find room in your hearts for backhanded compliments when a player does something like this? Is it truly necessary to include the fact that you can't stand Curt despite his charitable work?

If the answer is yes to either of these questions, then I am forced to do nothing other than question your motivation for being here. It gives me the impression that you aren't here for intellectual debate about baseball and the Sox/Yankees rivalry, but that you are here to poke, prod, and incite anger.

And if you are incapable of dropping those intentions in the light of someone doing some good for his fellow man, then I truly feel sorry for you because you have lost your humanity and have brought shame upon yourself in a very ugly way.

Slow down there horsey. Nobody has lost their humanity here lol. The Yankees gave one million dollars in donations for Katrina. Now that was very charitable, no? Does that make you change your entire opinion on the Yankees? No. People are simply stating, or at least I did, that it was indeed very nice of him to offer his home and a lending hand out to those less fortunate. That being said, I respect what he has done, and like I said it is more than most other players have contributed to the relief effort, but I don't think that gives me any reason to change my entire opinion of the guy and suddenly declare him my new savior, just as you won't declare the Yankees your new favorite team. I know he is a good guy at heart, I just don't like him or his mouth. Loosen up the ropes there buddy.

if Yankee fans wanna call Curt an ******* and accuse of getting media attention, then they really need to look themselves in the mirror

besides, I wonder if they were saying the same thing when Steinbrenner donated a million

but thats besides the point, why should anyone be crucified when they're just trying to help people out?

like I said in another thread, this has nothing to do with Yankees vs. Red Sox and its pretty pathetic to try and link the rivalry to this tragedy. it's about people helping people

Mature adult: That was nice of Curt.

Petulant child: That was nice of Curt, but I still hate him.

See the difference? Less keystrokes too.

It would be all over the news, come on it's A-Rod.

Anyway, when my mom told me this (that where I first heard about it) I was not at all suprised. Curt and Shonda have been wonderful charity workers for awhile. He did commercials for the auction the D'Backs always have every year for MD (Muscular Dystrophy) and contributed heavily. Great man, great heart and I sincerely applaud him and its good to see people like him, Stephon Marbury, Warrick Dunn, the Washington Mystics President, MLB, the Rangers, the Yankees, NBAPA ($2.5 Million and Billy Hunter says it probably won't be a one time donation), and many many other very generous souls. Schillings a good man people, lay off!
