of course I think he still takes steroids, why wouldn't I?

I'll say what was posted on another MB

So then you believe MLB is hidding test results? I will say that I do believe alot of MLers are off steroids but are doing HGH.

yankeessuck013, prior to July, Giambi wasn't hitting the ball at all. The only difference now is that he is hitting the ball with the good part of the bat more often. And he looks like the same meathead he did 4 years ago in Oakland.

yeah when he was on the 'roids

He lost weight due to illness. You don't loose whatever size you gained by doing steroids if you continue to work out. Especially if he is taking a creatine supplement because those will pump your muscles with water just like steroids do for the "big" look.

If I had to take a guess I would say Giambi is on HGH. I dont think with Giambi's history that he could risk doing roids. The #1 reason is the Yankees with a positive test would try and void his deal. They tried to void it in the off season but they had NO evidence of him using steroids (They couldnt use leaked evidence).

Exactamundo. Creatine is used by several pro athletes who want to retain water content in their muscles. I wish I was a strong enough athlete to say I take creatine. :thumbdown

dont take this the wrong way but I still wouldn't put it past giambi to take steroids again.

IMO he has the intelligence of a rock

You know, when I watch a game and they show a headshot of Giambi while a relative of mine is in the room (my family doesnt follow baseball except for me), they ask me, "Why does Giambi just look so dumb"?

I wouldnt be suprised either. I just said he had alot to lose but the same could have been said for Palmeiro.

I took creatine when I was in the Marines, and it does pump you up. But I didn't like it because we did a lot of training in the heat, and it was real easy to get dehydrated.

Giambi's not bright, but I somehow doubt he would use substances which caused a tumor to develop in him again.

Watch out for Small, he's been nothing but clutch this year. He's quickly become one of my favorite players.

Hey what do I know?

watch out for another blowout

Good call, 7-0.

Now can we please put to rest the 'Al Leiter is a big game pitcher' theory as to why he should be in the rotation? Small is a better pitcher, period.

leiter is still gonna be in the rotation but so is small with mussina out. And if wang comes back small will go back to the pen.

No way; Joe would put Wang or Leiter in the bullpen (most likely Wang as Leiter is...Leiter.)

Nah Joe will put Small in the bullpen before he puts Leiter there. Leiter can't come into a game and throw strikes, which eliminates all his value. You need Leiter in the rotation, see how he does, and have the comfort zone of knowing Small will be able to bail him out if needed.

Quite frankly, Al Leiter sucks.

He can only get hitters out who get themselves out. For example, Oakland is a very patient team and they lit him up. KC is a very aggressive team and they were shut down.

He faces a real MLB lineup in the playoffs, and I don't trust him.

Let Johnson, Chacon, Small, Wright and Wang be our 5 down the stretch if Mussina can't come back.

Matsui still batting second? :thumbdown

what are you talking about, who would you rather have in the 2 hole, Cano who swings at anything??

Matsui has done a very good job there
