"Playoff time" may be a pipe dream if we continue those number against BAL, TOR, and NYY. We play Baltimore 5 more times, Toronto 7, and NYY 6. Plus 6 games against OAK and ANA.

Playoff time I most worry about the Oakland Athletics, they have pithing that can shut a team down in a 5 game series. We may have a winning record against them, but we played them when they were really crappy early on in the season.

So 18 games vs. the teams we have a losing record to huh? WOW we are in trouble. It really might just come down to the last NYY series of the season to decide it. It's kinda scary, but then again thats why baseball is so much fun to watch and follow, especially the sox cause there right there every year.

If you are Boston, you don't worry about facing the Yankees in the playoffs because they are in your division. You are more concerned with running into a hot team in the short series. And if I am Boston, I'm petrified of Oakland.

I'm not too scared of Oakland yet, though they've been playin very good baseball, we should get a good look at em when they come to Fenway. Also I think that the White Sox won't go far, they're just another regular season winner but won't go far in the playoffs like the ols Mariners clubs. Both the Yankees and Sox proved they could beat them, so they don't pose as a threat to me.

sox wont face cleveland in the regular season again, it is possible for them to meet during the cool nights of October

True Sox are 26-27 against the East but at same time, Yanks are 23-25

Eh I don't think its that big of a deal that the Yanks and Sox have under .500 records against the rest of the league. They are still numbers one and two. My guess is that the division will be decided in the last series. Being that the series is played at Fenway, it's a little discouraging to a Yankee fan, but nonetheless, it will be a fun ride 'til the end.
