lol i'd rather have a younger weaver than an over the hill, injury prone slug making over 100 mil. Brown's decline started the minute he arrived in LA. Conversely, Weaver's career has been resurrected since coming back home to LA. He (Weaver) might not be what Brown was in his prime, but at 13-8 and the best pitcher on an injury riddled and minor league collection of misfits and nobodies known as the dodgers, i'm glad to have him.

Not really, weaver wasn't going to be an ace here either, but brown has just been awful. I hope he retires in defeat.

how do you figure the dodgers didn't get a better deal? weaver has single-handedly kept them in the playoff race this year, despite how bad he pitched in NY (Brown wasn't worth what he was gettin paid in LA either...) he has completely rediscovered his confidence and is now much more effective.

they did get a better deal. Weaver is a lot better there than he was here, but if you think he would here how he's pitching now, you're wrong. Neither team got screwed because we gave up a guy with no future here for another guy with no future here.
