I just happened to go onto Redsox.com and I saw they were having a contest to throw out the first pitch for them in a September game....I went to enter lol, I guess that makes me a horrible person but whatever. So I'm filling out the entry form and I enter my address and I go to click NY and its not in the list of states. THEY BLOCKED OUT NEW YORK! CAN you believe that??? hahaha I guess it was a smart move but damnit thats funny.

yep, I just tried it and there's no NY on the pulldown menu, theres no rhode island or florida which also have lots of yankee fans too

That's stupid. The most die hard Red Sox fan might live in New York. I guess they are trying to avoid an incident that would be similar to that lawyer trying to re-name the Fleet Center "Derek Jeter Center" for the day. God forbid a Yankees fan enters Fenway Pahhk!!!

A frigging Yankee fan was 2 rows away from me when I was on the Green Monster. I was pissed off enough at that, if a Yankee fan threw out the first pitch Red Sox nation would be outraged, not to mention the Yankee fan would probably get killed.

Thats great! I live in CT, even in a part where we get YES, not NESN, but I don't like the Yankees

I live in CT and get both YES and NESN, and it is sweet, the YES announcers are terribe though, I want to hang myself whenever Mike Kay opens his god damn mouth.

Haha, I live in Eastern Mass, and I get YES sometimes, I dont know why (I have DirecTV). Usually it says ""This program is not available in your area", but sometimes it works. I've watched a few Yankees games on YES, and I seriously felt suicidal after listening to Kay.

haha i once was watching a yankee game back when my class had a field trip to New York City, i think it was against the Twins. "on a 1-2 out Jeter hits a bomb to left field, it might be, it could be, See Yaaa-and um Jeter has just been robbed by a leaping Torri Hunter"--I was laughing my ass off at that point

Ha ha. They did a spoof of him on I think it was WFAN they went "AND AROD HITS IT DEEP TO CENTER FIELD, WAY BACK WAY BACK, IT ISSSSSSSSSSSSS, caught behind second base. Inning over.
