Radke's Career Stats vs. Red Sox: 8-6, 76 ER over 134 IP for a 5.08 ERA

Well, obviously Minnesota has been struggling IMMENSELY recently, so I would like to extend our winning streak to 9 by the end of tonight, and 11 by the end of the series...heh, wishful thinking.

im thinking at least 2 out of 3, santanna is a threat to anyone mostly when hes up on the mound: pitcher vs batter matchups, Bronson has faced Minnesota two times in his career, and is at a nice 2-0 record with a 3.07 ERA. Radke, last seen during last sunday's tense win that Manny capped off with a walkoff RBI single. In 21 games, he has an 8-6 record with a 5.08 ERA

This is going to be a high scoring affair, but the Red Sox are the only team that can score runs, so I'm going with 8-3 (if anyone actually gives a s*** what I think) Red Sox, with KVK Millar going deep.

ill just be happy with a game red sox win that is not a save type situation, only one game of the 8 streak was by 4 runs or more

good news here

Manny returns: Eyesight OK, Ramirez back in Boston lineup

August 5, 2005

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- Manny Ramirez was back in Boston's lineup Friday night, his vision deemed good enough for him to play following his outfield collision with Red Sox teammate Edgar Renteria earlier in the week. Boston manager Terry Francona said before the game against Minnesota that Ramirez had his eyesight checked on Thursday. There was still a little blurriness, but everything else was fine. Francona said he planned to watch Ramirez, the major league leader in RBIs, carefully during batting practice.

"The doctor said he could see a fly on that wall,'' Francona said in a hallway outside the visiting team clubhouse at the Metrodome. "In other words, he's got unbelievable vision.'' Ramirez collided with Renteria while making a catch in Wednesday night's game against Kansas City and was held out on Thursday. In addition to a red right eye, Ramirez has bruises on his chest and face as well as a bloody nose.

It isnt? I was at a tournament Nashua, NH all day, and here in Andover, and I have yet to see a raindrop. As a matter of fact, the only moisture I felt drop was a drop of sweat of my chin.

I'm getting severe weather alerts up the wazoo, lightning has struck my house, and its been raining on and off. I guess a few miles makes a difference. When it does rain its the hardest rain I've ever seen. It would probably hurt to be outside.

Yeah...I was outside when it started in Newton Centre and had no idea that it was supposed to rain. Then I had to run back to my house...how lame. The thunder was crazy, the lightning bright, and by God I had to sit next to the fireplace in my house after turning it on just so I could dry off. I got a few drops every now and then in some bare skin spot, and it did hurt sometimes. Well, not hurt, but you could really feel it hitting you.

It could be worse. We could not have a 4.5 game lead right now.

Arroyo is toast, but we'll score some. Don't give up on them in the 5th. Hell, we scored 8 in an inning just yesterday.

yeah but that was the ROYALS, radke is light out right now, 1 hit

im not disagreeing with you but its gonna be muuuuuuch harder

oh yeah and tomorrow- wells vs santana and johnson vs some rookie from syracuse

Posted
true, yeah we just arent performing all around. I know it was KC, but lately we've been picking up speed when we get downs. care to give us another HR tek?

it will be tougher as don and jerry have pointed out, the umpire is giving a bigger strike zone for batters today--so even if radke is trying to make sox batters reach for ball, no swing will still be called a strike---bottom line really, long ammount of days in between games have hurt clement and bronson, hopefully same wont be for wells tomorrow

even weirder, Baltimore is set to win their second win in a row, against Texas--just in the 5th inning and they lead 10-0

Top 2nd: Baltimore

- L. Matos singled to shortstop, C. Gomez and S. Sosa scored

Top 3rd: Baltimore

- B.J. Surhoff hit sacrifice fly to deep right center, M. Tejada scored

- J. Gibbons homered to deep center, J. Lopez and S. Sosa scored

- B. Roberts homered to deep center, L. Matos scored

Top 4th: Baltimore

- S. Sosa singled to center, M. Tejada and B.J. Surhoff scored

I'm getting the Twins feed on MLB Extar Innings and the announcers are all over the Sox for having WS rings that are too big. It really sounded like sour grapes considering they gagged on the MFY's in the playoffs the last few years and won't get another sniff of a ring until a salary cap is put in place.
