This is a series the Sox need to win. To take 2 of 3, they need to win tonight with Bronson on the hill. Still no idea why Miller was scratched, but oh well.

Bronson's been up and down all year, but he was much better last year after the All Star break so hopefully he'll turn it up a notch for us starting tonight.

I have a new found respect for Element... that took forever to put together all of that.

Haha, yea. And he makes those individual banners. B)

Wade Miller is said to have problems come up with his shoulder again, and needs undetermined time to rest some more

Wade Miller having shoulder problems? We are so screwed...

The Red Sox will look to get their third win in a row and try to widen the gap of breathing room from the Yankees who will be facing the Angels this wknd. Wade Miller will be given day off to rest his shoulder some more and Bronson has been moved up to tonight, David Wells moved up to tomorrow. Sunday is currently to be announced who is starting. Minnesota counters with Carlos Silva, who is 7-4 this season with a 3.38 ERA, he doesnt walk a lot of guys (only 7) but at same is a not a strikeout pitcher (just 47 in 130 innings!!!). In two career starts against Boston, he is 1-0 with a 2.57 ERA.

Carlos Silva vs:

Johnny Damon, 0 for 3

Edgar Renterria, 0 for 2

Manny Ramirez, 0 for 3

David Ortiz, 1 for 3 (.333 avg) Walk

Jason Varitek, 1 for 4 (.250 avg) Double, 2 Ks

Kevin Millar, 2 for 5 (.400 avg) Double, Walk

Bill Mueller, 2 for 3 (.667 avg)

Alex Cora, 4 for 12 (.333 avg) Double, 2 RBIs

Tony G, 2 for 8 (.250 avg) K

John Olerud, 2 for 10 (.200 avg) RBI

Bronson has had just one career game against Minnesota, but still a 1-0 record with a 2.45 ERA. I think its safe to say now he will be staying in Boston for 2005, either Marlins will stick with AJ or trade him off to Chicago.

Bronson Arroyo vs:

Weepy-Boy Bret Boone, 3 for 10 (.300 avg) Double, 2 RBIs, 2 Ks

Michael Cuddyer, 1 for 3 (.333 avg) Double, 2 Ks

Torii Hunter, 1 for 3 (.333 avg)

Jacque Jones, 0 for 3, K

Justin Morneau, 1 for 3 (.333 avg) Double, K

Mike Redmond, 0 for 1

Shannon Stewart, 0 for 4, K

Whats going on? Gameday said Ortiz got a double and now its stuck on injury delay.

Torii Hunter slammed into the wall trying to catch the ball. I think he may have dislocated his shoulder.

Actually now they're saying he got his spike caught in the wall and hurt his leg. They're brining the cart out for him.

Torii Hunter hurt himself trying to make the catch in the triangle. Hope he's alright. Stretcher out on the field.

And, David Ortiz IS William Wallace.

Molina goes solo-shot, 3-0, runner on first, 2-out, Figgins up in the top of the second. Mussina is pitching BP. 5 hits first time through the order.
