Wade Miller has been scratched from his start tonight, according to the Providence Journal's Art Martone.

In a post on the Sons of Sam Horn message board, Martone said the Red Sox are now planning to start Bronson Arroyo tonight and David Wells tomorrow. Both will be going on normal rest after Thursday's off day. Sunday's starter is TBA, with Jon Papelbon perhaps a possibility. There's no word on what's wrong with Miller, but the obvious guess is that his shoulder is bothering him.

I would definitely think that's the case. if they showcase Arroyo tonight, it gives them that much more time to put a deal together for, I'm guessing, Burnett

I doubt anyone would take a risk on Wade. Not really worried about his injury though because he was really just picked up as some insurance incase Curt wasn't ready to go, and now he says he is, so we no longer need Wade this year. That being said, I'd love to have a healthy Wade Miller, but I don't know if the words healthy and Wade Miller will ever be used in the same sentence again.

Wade Miller is said to have problems with his shoulder come up again, feeling stiffness, he will start next wednesday. Matt Clement will make his next start either next Thursday or Saturday.

next tuesday, game 1 against kansas city--there will be more of an idea once they figure out who is pitching Sunday--Rumors are abound it could be Wakefield being bumped up, Paplebon getting his major league start or Curt Schilluing coming back

But I dont think that they would lie about Miller's shoulder hurting him considering also its risky to have your starting pitcher have more than 6 days of rest without a good reason to do so

very surprising for me to see, tomorrow's game 3 against the Twins was undetermined after Wade was pushed back a start. Rumors were abound that Tim Wakefield was getting an early bump, Schilling starting, or either Jon Paplebon getting his major league debut. But it will actually be Jeremi Gonzalez up on the mound for the Sox

It's very possible that Wade is hurting a little and they are using this for a couple of reasons. Rest him until his next start and then set-up the rotation for a come back by Shilling to the SP role. Who knows with all the trade talks flying around it's hard to tell what's the deal.
