Blockbuster Trade with Rangers

Nice idear of throwing out this trade, but you can't trade away Manny, Foulke, Mueller and Bellhorn in a single trade. I wouldn't accept it at all. For what it's worth, you still have to keep faith in Foulke about the way he could pitch healthly in the future & Mueller is one of the best, if not the best third baseman in the league -- not to mention he is as clutch as they come. I don't think Soriano is what he used to be, either.

 

But who knows.... the Sox have were big last year on making an uneven trade and trying to get rid of Man-Ram, so it maybe the same this year.

not sure if they'd want to shakeup their batting order and defensive alignment that much with literally adding nothing to their pitching staff. to me, thats the #1 reason that trade would never happen

Don't the Rangers have one of the best infields in the AL, perhaps with the exception of Soriano who's adequate enough - with Teixiera, Blalock, and Young? Well the Rangers aren't trading everything they've got...

 

Edit: Gah, think I misunderstood your post, BoSox21 - the Rangers wouldn't get any return pitching - gotcha and agreed. Facing the AL West with Chan Ho Park? Yeah, right.

Yep YankeeDoodle, with the Rangers it's pretty bad to watch the games if you're a pitching person. It's like this team just goes out there nightly and tries to put up 10 runs in hopes of winning.

well, I think Park has the best run support of any starting pitcher in the league with the possible exception of Boomer

I think you're right, BoSox. Both Boomer & Park get 7 point something runs a game, Park's is just a little bit higher.
