Heh, Jay Mariotti hates his friendly Cub fans. I say on Around the Horn one time he said (not word for word but something similar)- "Cub fans only know drinking, cursing, more drinking, more cursing, getting drunk, and getting kicked out of ball games"

I think Jay Mariotti wishes he worked in New York, He such a bandwagoner. That guy irritates me. I remember when we nailed Rivera twice in April, and he was "worried about the Yankees".

 

AND NOW, Rivera has a good (he had 2 saves right?) series against us and hes back to form and we have no shot at beating him (basically). And we have major problems and the Yankees are getting back into shape and their staff is now fine (Al Leiter after one game is great??? ) and we have major problems and have no shot (not denying our problems but trying to make a point). AHH! Now I remember, day after Game 3 of '04 ALCS, and Mariotti was, in no minced words, "IT'S OVER! I mean, c'mon...the series is over!"

 

It's the curse of the dumb sportswriters. Please, Mariotti, for your own sake; you and Woody Paige together in the same room would be like exposing white phosphorus to oxygen. *quarantines curse in Chicago*
