Please quit whining, this team will be fine, it's way too talented to play this way, and will have a big 2nd half like last year. Curt's finally pitching well, and the offense will turn it around.

And remember, we won last year so that we should give the team a 2 year grace period. NO TEAM CAN WIN A CHAMPIONSHIP EVERY YEAR! Just remember that.

But on the flip side this team will bounce back tommorow with Arroyo on the hill. These bats will wake up sooner rather then later, and when Hanley Ramirez comes up to play 2nd, he will give this team the energy OCab gave us last year.

Making a new topic about this just makes it worse. Now people will bitch in the bitching thread and then come here and bitch about why they're bitching. I guess we all went into this season thinking we were going to be undefeated, because we're sure acting like it.

I'm not down on our team. I wasn't down when Schilling gave up that 2-R HR to A-Rod because I knew it was going to be a long series, I wasn't down when we lost the series to New York, and one game vs. Tampa Bay isn't going to change my thoughts. This baseball season is a marathon, if the Yankees come back and beat Texas tonight taking over first place then so be it. Season is far from over.

Well let them bitch, I'm just saying that this team will turn it around.

Let's see what moves Theo makes in the next couple of weeks with regards to trades and call-ups. He did it last year, so lets see what he pulls off. " In Theo We Trust "

I have to agree here. I completely trust that Theo will do what's RIGHT for this club. If a move comes along that makes us better, he'll do it. If nothing comes along, he'll stay with the current group.

kevin millar is in fact starting to turn things around, it has now been in 5 straight games hes drawn a walk, 8 altogether since game 1 agaisnt the yankees. from the all star break is obp% has gone up from .351 to currently .364. Since the all star break---he has had 6 hits for 13 at bats (.533 avg), 3 doubles, RBI, 3 Runs scored, 8 walks, and just 2 strikeouts

just one quick question, how did his trading deals suck?? it got rid of nomar who was dragging down the sox at this point, got us backup 1st baseman doug, and the famous stolen base (Dave Roberts), as well as Orlando Cabrera and Pokey Reese. Theo is the master in my eyes

That's great. Theo sucks about trades. He needs to make a huge one. Miller, Bronson are unreliable and inconsistent.

Are you serious ? Sucks about trades, gee a team playing like crap before trades turns around after trades to win World Series. Exactly which trades were bad ? Oh by the way, don't forget the draft picks.

BK Kim trade sucked

Suppan trade sucked

on the other hand...

Schilling trade was good

Nomar trade was good

only thing I do agree with Soxie is Wade Miller, each time 5th or 6th inning he will be up to the 100 pitch count. Everyone keeps tellin me he will get better, when exactly will that be???

Riverside, I agree with the body of what you said, however, Miller wasn't a trade. He was a waiver wire pick-up ( low money big upside ).

Sox were going through exact same slump last July, then theo did in fact work his magic at the trade deadline, thats where the sox took off, most notably winning 19 out of their last 22 games at one point.

Actually, after the deadline, and the new faces, the Sox still had a 2 week rough spell, before they took off. And we were a lot worse off in the standings then too. So its not over by any means.

My only concern is that other teams are a lot better than they were last year too. And I expect Theo's counterparts to be active as well. I feel there is less room for error this year.

Agreed except, Bk Kim was a help 03' ( do we remember "Bull Pen by Commitee " ?)Granted he was a head case and sucked after that.

Good point. Millar hits very well in Fenway. Given that we have a lot more home games in the 2ed half, I'd expect to seem a lot more from him down the streach this year.

But the available pool of players seems much less talented than last year, so no single team stands to gain a TON of talent.

This is true. But in reality, all we can do is speculate. Theo's the one doing the talking, know's the plan, and more importly has the trigger.
