We had one bad road trip you had two. by friday you'll be looking up at us again.

So you're playing great baseball and you're still in 3rd place? Good job, jackass. Keep up the great work. As far as the "you can't win the division if you can't win on the road" comment, I don't think you can win the division if you get swept by the worst team in baseball either. Stop making idiotic comments and only posting here when your team is winning.

Also, if your schedule got any easier I think people all around baseball would be complaining. While DADDY is playing big time teams such as the red-hot Guardians in Cleveland, you sit at home and enjoy the hapless Devil Rays and the ONLY rival you can keep up with, the MIGHTY New York Mets. We've played tons of road games and towards the end of the season it evens out for us. Again, enjoy 3rd place.

it really pisses me off that YANKEESRULE only posts here when his team is winning. He came up missing when the Yankees were getting beat up by KC, Milwaukee, Minnesota, and St. Louis.

The Yankees are not finished in my opinion. The big difference between now and years past however is that nobody's scared of the New York Yankees. Every single one of their starters has proven to be vulnerable, and the offense isn't as prolific as it was made out to be in March.

In Mussina, Johnson, and Pavano they have a strong top 3 pitchers. They still have Rivera, who is still a very good closer. Right now I honestly believe this is division could be won by any of the top 3 teams (Baltimore, Boston, New York), because all teams are capable of dominating opponents but also have big holes.

It should be a really fun second half because this is shaping up to be a 3 team race. The Red Sox have got to get their starters in order very soon.

Kevin "Psychzophrenia" Brown is on the DL. freakin psycho got back spasms now your team has another rookie starter. thats 3 rookie starters on a 200,000 dollar team. ROFL. Lets have a moment of silence for the death of the "greatest franchise in sports history" rofl again.

Umm I posted on here when the yankees were losing, go back and look. I was filming a movie so I couldn't get on here for like two weeks, if everyone must know. The funny thing is we had a bad road trip and we are still only 2 games behind you. So if that's bad then I'll take it. Why didin't your team take advantage of that, because they played just as bad as the Yankees did. I mean you gfuys gonna bring up the Royals series. hell the Tigers went into Baltimore and swept them. Any team can sweep or win anyone. we also swept teams that killed your team. Teams that you called weak teams. When thay beating the s*** out of your team, that's what I found to be funny.

Same things over and over from you. Just shut up. Quit your whining and accept the fact that DADDY is better than you and will always be. Now go sit in the corner and cry about the fact that you were slapped around last time out against the Red Sox at the toilet and you are facing a team that beat you three out of the last four games last time out. Also:

Any team can sweep or win anyone.

huh?

Sorry was typing too fast I meant any team can sweep or win against anyone. yea the Red Sox are our daddy's, LOL. give me a f***ing break. our Record against your team is still better all-time. Baseball is about numbers and when you look at the numbers the Yankees are Daddy. The only amunnition you have is last year and this year. when they face again the Yanks will be a diffrent team. If you look at this win streak diffrently from the 10 win streak this team is playing like the yankees of old, and that should scare any sox fans that know about baseball and knows when the Yanks play like this there a hard team to beat. So you can take your World series win last year and your record against us earlier in the season and shove it up your texas size ass.

Ok its been proven you weren't here I talked about how you weren't here... filming a movie? What are you Will Smith or something? I call fair weather fan.

Here's why I'm much more concerned about the Yankees:

1) The Orioles always find a way to screw up (see: Albert Belle). Their lineup is realer than Holyfield, but their pitching doesn't scare me.

2) Having the Yankees miss the playoffs is almost as important as seeing the Sox get there.

Don't you mean combined records from these past THREE years? *snicker* YANKEES SUCK.

i was here. no i'm not will smith. I'm in film school and we were shooting a movie. i'm not a bitchy little actor. i actually work on the films. sound guy, grip what ever needs to be done.

yea that's why we just scored 13 runs in one inning

I'll rip up my "Travis Harper for Hall of Fame" petition and go back to watching GOOD baseball games. The guy gave up 9 ER's in 2/3 or an inning, which has more to do with horrible pitching than great hitting.

You may have scored 13 runs in one inning, but take another step back...and see that 1. It was Tampa Bay, and 2. Randy Johnson your "svaior" pitched AWFUL against...TAMPA! (If their, meaning the D-Rays, so great offensively, name one MAJOR, like Manny or Papi or Vlad like offensive threat)

That may be going a bit too far. It would be fun to see their fans commit mass suicide, but I'd rather see the Sox win. A Yankee miss wouldn't make up for a Sox miss though.

We all Know randy is done. he might as well give it up and retire. Although the yankees did do that last night, it was tampa so its a bit easier, but still an amazing accomplishment. although i can recall us beating them like 22-0 once years ago when nomar hit 2 grand slams

I don't think Randy's done. He clearly isn't as dominant as he was last season, but he's far from finished. He was actually looking pretty good in June before his bad outing last night. After all the crap we've given him this year, last night was easily his worst of the season and the only outing in which he didn't pitch at least 6 innings.

At 7-5 with a 4.02 ERA, Randy's overall numbers aren't horrible. His strikeouts/9 are down (8.21) and his batting average against is up (.256) from previous years, so it would seem like he's in the decline. That being said, his K's/9 is STILL better than ANY Red Sox starter. His 4.02 ERA is higher than only one starter-- Matt Clement. (Bronson Arroyo also has a 4.02 ERA, and coincidentally enough-- a .256 BAA).

If I were Torre I'd still start Randy Johnson over any of my other starters (although I'd give Mussina a look, he's got only 6.3 K's/9 and a BAA of .278) in a must win situation.

How to own YANKEESRULE:

Statement: "We swept the Cubs who destroyed you."

Response: Kansas City Royals

Statement: "We swept the Pirates, you won 2 of 3."

Response: Tampa Bay Devil Rays

Statement: "We play the Rays which are a different team than when we played them last while you go play the hottest team in baseball in Cleveland."

Response: Red Sox sweep in four games in Ohio while Yanks allow the Devil Rays to put up 21 runs in 3 games at the "almighty" (snicker) Yankee Stadium. It makes it even greater that today's starter is a guy named Wang, as well.

Rays ownership ought to see about changing scheduling rules so that they can play the Yanks 100 times a year, they'd be virtual locks for the postseason!

hey yankee fan quit filming your gay porn and come to rescue your yankers from the mighty devil dogs. they are getting killed...............that being said. i still believe it will come down to the last month in the east between the sox and yanks. although if schill gets rolling in the next couple weeks...schill, clement, miller, arroyo, and wells/wakefield could get scary for the rest of the league if they all stay healthy. and that was some clutch hitting and pitching (from foulke) last night. hell of a win. keep it rollin boys!!!!!!
Posted

oh yeaaa, even in our off days, the currently red hot sox are making strides in the standings, with the orioles and yanks  both losing tonite. we now pull within 1/2 game of tyin baltimore for 1st place as the yanks for the 2nd time this season the struggling d-rays taking 3 out of 4

baltimore...42 - 30

;) boston...41 - 29... 1/2 game behind

yanks........37 - 35... 5 games behind

toronto......37 - 36... 5 1/2 games behind

Tampa Bay.26 - 47... 16 games behind
