8:10 tonight. Should be a beautiful night in St. Louis with temperatures between 75 and 80.

http://boston.redsox.mlb.com/images/gameday/mugshots/119403.jpg #35 Matt Morris (6-0 3.81)

Wakefield will try to snap out of his recent woes. The veteran knuckleballer has lost his last four starts to fall below .500 for the first time this season. In his last outing, Wakefield was pounded by the Orioles, giving up nine hits and seven runs over 5 2/3 innings. Wakefield hasn't pitched at Busch Stadium in over a decade, when he was a member of the Pirates. In five career outings against the Cardinals, Wakefield is 1-1 with a 5.06 ERA.

Morris has been eating innings and throwing strikes lately, and that's a good combination. He has yet to walk more than two batters in a game this season, and he's tossed at least six innings in six of his past seven starts. The powerful Red Sox pose a serious challenge for any pitcher, but it's been difficult to hit the ball out of the park against Morris this season (five homers in 56 2/3 innings).

Whoa... Grizzly Adams....

Morris has been pimp this year, and the Cardinals haven't seen a knuckleball this season, so if the knuckler is on, I would expect no less than a low scoring, close game.

The fans better cheer for Renteria. If they boo him for leaving for more money....f*** them.

And f*** that columnist in Stl.Today or whatever...flaming retard. Calling us bad fans for booing players who we pay a lot to produce and don't, yet somehow Rent still thinks we are the best. He can go f*** himself. I like the Cards, but I like the Sox more. I hope we make it 7 straight

2-1 Cards on RBI singles by Nunez and Molina. f***ing ridiculous though. Tito is f***ing up tonight. 1 out, first and third, and Wake throws a wild pitch. 2nd and 3rd now with the number 8 hitter (Molina) up and Morris on deck. What do you do? YOU DONT f***ING PITCH TO MOLINA! You walk him and load the bases for Morris who cant hit for s***. God Damnit Tito, you gotta realize this.

Edit: Right after I post, Morris sacrifices one in. 3-1 Cards. God Damnit Tito, you f***ing idiot.

In other good news. Randy Johnson is having another studly night. Allowing 2 runs in the first inning, 2-0 Brewers.

Wake is not pitching well at all tonight, hes really struggling. Were gonna need the offense to step it up if we want to win this one.

And, uh, yeah, you guys can feel free to post. Its kinda akward posting all by myself.

Edit: Baltimore and Pittsburgh are tied at 3 in the top of the 8th.

Thanks Yeszir!

Its 4-1 now, RBI groundout for Molina

And the Yankees just got one back on a RBI single by Giambi. 3-1 Brewers over there.

Edit: Yankees manage to somehow get 2 more and tie it up at 3.... boooo

OH yeah, and Palmeiro hit a sac fly, Baltimore is up 4-3.

I Dont like the way tonight is going at all...

Hard to post when you feel like you are going to lose vs. the NL Champs of last year.

Who else smells a sweep? A little payback? Oye.

Let them have it. We won a world series. Who cares! WEEEEEEEEEE

Oy, there you go Cardinal fans, congratulations you got your revenge from last year, unfortunately for you it has to come in the regular season, well tomorrow's a new day.

Sad I guess. But I really feel that way. Mulligans all around! Embree too!

Whoa. That's taking one step too far.

Just got back after going to the game. Like most Sox fans there, it was just a chance to extend the celebration we had last October. And it was great to march in there in our World Champs gear. Cards fans strutted around afterwards like it was revenge, but it wasn't, and it didn't anger any of us.

However, the Sox were out-pitched, out-hit and out-hustled and that does bother me. I hope when Mirabelli comes back it straightens out Wake. Edgar was a car wreck. And Manny, still, seems to have no punch in his swing. This is a tough stretch against two hgot teams in the NL.

It was also hot as hell, it must have been 90 all night.

Yeah that's what it sounded like while watching the end of the game last night, I also found it pretty amusing.
