Ponson needs to step up and respond after the injury to Erik Bedard. But lately he has pitched just well enough to lose. The right-hander allowed four runs in eight innings Friday against the Tigers, but the Orioles lost, 4-3. He yielded four runs in seven innings in his previous start, another loss to Philadelphia.

 

Wakefield will try to get back on track after losing his last three starts. In those outings, Wakefield has surrendered 15 earned runs in 17 innings. This is his first start of the year against the Orioles. In his career against Baltimore, Wakefield is 11-9 with a 3.82 ERA.

That's a relief... hopefully Damon is alright. I heard his comments after the game and he said he was planning on going up to bat after that coming in from the field and everything, before Francona told him that Olerud (Cowboy down, Olerud up!) would take his place.

Actually, I blame this on Francona some as I was curious why he got all those normal bullpen guys work on Monday after the game was outa hand.

 

Anyway, if Arroyo gets rocked on (Sat?) there will be some questions to be answered.
