Just heard on NESN that Schill's ankle is gunna take much longer than anticipated to mend.

Out until mid-late July if reports are corret.

I know it sucks but when we get him backj it will be awesome we will have da best pitchers

Would you trade last season for a healthy Schilling this year? He gets as long as he needs if you ask me.

Dick or not, he's a god now.

He will come back lets just hope they dont rush him again

I can't wait till he comes back. Hope he gets healthy and good rest. I hope he comes back with a good return also. Try and knock out Baltimore in first place.

Well, we could, but are starting wasn't the problem. It was the bullpen in the beginning and leaving to many people on base. Also, your right on some of the part though, because Schilling pitches for a decent amount of innings each start.

we have to make the playoffs first. so we had better find a wy to beat teams over five hundred. and find a capable closer.

again I take exception to thie irrational sense that if you played on the 2004 team you are some how given a pass. Luckily management doesnt have such a demented view of running the club or lowe, et al would still be here..-so really that's a mute point.

I hope schilling takes a moment and stops thinking about schilling for a second and doesnt rush--back just to be back like in the beginning opf this season. we have our ace and its clement we just need schilling for the strecth and the postseason.

Yeah!!! he rushed back last time and found himself on the DL two games after because he wants to be the best!! Right now clement is pitching consistent and its a good thing!!

This schilling situation would put Theo into defense mode and probably go out and get the best pitcher on the market (Clemens or Burnett or Zito depending on the situation). While if the sox say outwardly that Schilling will be back, then the sox rotation is perceived to be set and the sox can peruse trade offers without having to worry about the yankees or O's one-upping them. I truly think Zito is a name to keep on your mind, I really can see him in a sox uni this year, it fits Theo's MO.....

I'd like to get Zito He is young and Athletics dont need him he is gone at the end of the year!! He ant going back there because they suck right now! I dont want clemens because he is old and he will be gone after the season!

In a way he ant thinking as much of the red sox as it is for him so in a way he is kinda selfish and he should think more of the team instead of schilling!!

Selfish? The guy went and pitched on a torn whatever the hell was wrong with his ankle in Game 6 of the ALCS to make sure his team had a chance to win. He played hurt. That's the furthest thing from selfish I can possibly imagine in the world of sports.

He is selfish he did that to make him look good and he rushed himself back!!! I have my own opinions you can disagree with me as much as you want

Oh trust me I will because it's a stupid statement. How can you possibly call a guy who pitched with blood coming out of his ankle in the playoffs to ensure his team could win selfish? He didn't try to come back early to make himself look good. Are you joking me? He came back because he wanted to play baseball, he wanted to do his job. Was that selfish of him? That's the opposite of selfish, working hard to try to rehabilitate himself to be ready for the season so he can pitch for his team. Please explain to me what makes that selfish in any way. What he did was the exact opposite of selfish. The selfish thing to do would have been to sit around all winter saying "Eh it's ok I can miss the first couple months of the season, not like it matters I'm getting payed any ways.". But he didn't do that which I believe most men would have done he wnet otu and worked hard to try and make himself better so he can pitch for his team. You can call Curt Schilling a lot of things personally I think he's an idiot and talks too much, but he should never be called a selfish man.

No if you payed attention to detail I added about how he worked hard during the off season to try and get himself back but I'm sure you didn't notice that because I'm willing to bet you are one of those people who is too lazy and jsut reads the first two to three lines of a post and makes assumptions about what the rest of the post says. You're an idiot you really are. You have contributed nothing to this site except bad grammar and stupid unrealistic ideas that you just pour out of your mind since you got here. I've put your posts in to two different "piles" one where yore posts sounds intellagent and make sense but it's jsut piggybacking of someone elses idea you just say the same thing that 5 other people have in the same thread, or "pile 2" where the ideas are original but they are so dumb that of course they are original no one else would think of this crap. Go home and learn grammar and then go home and learn baseball and then come talk to me.

did you just use the letters D and A to represent the word THE?

not only is this forum getting dumber as a collective but we are also getting more ghetto.. great. :harhar:

seriously though, schilling NEVER should have started. he needs to get off his high horse and take care of that ankle, his pride cost him a couple extra months on the DL. we didn't need a hero at the beginning of the season.
